MRI

Well, fellow MTs, I had my first MRI scan yesterday.  I will never do that again.  I felt like I was being buried alive in that thing.  They gave me a little rubber ball to squeeze in case of emergency and I almost squeezed it before they even started taking the pictures!  I stuck it out, but I was pretty reluctant.

I called my sister last night after it was over - my appt was 8 p.m. - and she said when she had hers a few weeks ago, her daughter told her to just keep her eyes closed while  as soon as they started passing her into the tube.  

Anyone else have it done and thought it was kind of creepy?

  • I have to have a MRI yearly sm - mb
  • In some places there are now open MRI scanners for the claustrophobic & super obese. - Ask if there's one nearby next time. nm
