I think my first reaction would have been one of hurt rather than anger. His actions sort of tell you where he places you in the food chain, and that speaks volumes regarding your marriage.
Maybe you could sit down with him during a quiet time and very calmly tell him how you feel, how it is hurtful to you that he just makes plans independent of you, and that you are his partner not some second-class citizen made to walk two steps behind him in life. If he blows you off, THEN I'd be pi$$ed BIG TIME.
He e-mails you regarding his plans? E-MAILS YOU??? You don't find that insulting? What is this, a business arrangement or a marriage?
Only you can remove "doormat" etched in your forehead.
