We bought this house a year ago (new construction) because our old house was 25 years old and we're about 15 years from retirement. We would like to retire to New Mexico, but who knows what the situation will be 15 years from now. So - either a) we'll have a house that is only 15 years old, with 15 years' worth of equity, to sell, or b) we will have a very nice house to live out our remaining years.
