In Reply to: What about 1st amend. rights of mom who posted - on MySpace and caused teen to kill herself? Hmm?

on this is that the girl chose to commit suicide. No one "drove her to it" and, in fact, the girl most likely had some pretty huge problems before this incident. The other girl's mom was a creep and what she did was extremely juvenile and in very bad taste. No one MAKES you commit suicide. Unfortunately, suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem and we need to point that out to young people fairly frequently it seems. Where was that girl's mother? I believe that parents need to keep on it every day - know where your kids are, who they are with, what they are doing and why they are doing it. They need to say no more and they need to group together and ensure that their school is a place fit to school their children. Many are not and that is why I am now a big enthusiast of alternative schools, homeschooling and charter schools. Public school is a place of total chaos on a daily basis, for the most part. Pay attention and if your child's school is out in left field then change! Soon, the lack of funding will be a real eye opener and then maybe positive change will take place.
