Non-MT question

I have a message on my answering machine from a Pampered Chef rep inviting me to a friend's Pampered Chef power cooking party.  Can anyone tell me what is in store for me?  Any recommendations on what to buy?  I can't spend a fortune, so I hope they're not too terribly pricey!
