Now that I've reached the bottom of the bottle but...

thanks for the info. I love this product and so did my mom. The funeral director asked what my mom used on her skin as it was in such good shape and she was a beach goer. Oh well, back to Vaseline! Any other brand name this goes by? I have used the CVS brand also thinking it is Olay with a private label of CVS.

So what you are saying is we've reached our limit? That we don't deserve any more kindness?

That's how you operate in life?  You just deem people unworthy of your time, your kindness?

You know, curious girl, isn't asking you for money or a place to live or anything except for a few kind words on a freaking screen!!!  How difficult is that?!!?!?!  You act like she's knocking on your blasted door and begging you to help her.  She's not asking you to do anything but LISTEN!!

My God!  You people are incredibly callus.  I feel sorry for you.

And oil nearly reached $120.00
a barrel yesterday.

We went out to eat last night and the restaurant which is normally a busy place was like a ghosttown saloon.

People are cutting corners. They are not eating out as much. Thank goodness these thankless MT jobs don't rely on tips. Just #(Q!& line counts. LOL.
The fact that she reached out to you

...is a very good sign. It means that she hasn't entirely given up hope yet. But she needs all the support she can get. I don't know what resources are available in your area or what she has already tried, but she needs to get into therapy immediately and she needs to find a way to obtain her medications and start taking them again. There are agencies which can help with problems like these - you can help her search for them and help her do whatever is required (filling out applications, etc.) to get her going - because of her depression, she may not have the energy to do all of this on her own right now.

The most important thing you can do is to let her know that you are there for her, that she is important to you, and that ALL problems are solvable - maybe not in exactly the manner we would prefer (it is possible she may lose her house) but sometimes a situation that seems so dire at the time may end up having an unexpected, positive affect on our lives. Believe me, I speak from personal experience.

Kudos to you for being so caring and concerned about your coworker.

Have reached the end of my rope!
Ok, I posted some time ago about a furniture company I paid money to last year, 04/2006 and never got any furniture, no money returned and had to go through court. I had thought they would  maybe show in court - they never did, although commanded to do so or at least pay what I am owed before their cut-off date. It has not happened. This coming Tuesday I have police meeting me at their furniture company- I have rented a truck- and have the order of the courts to go in and load up on their furniture (with enough to recoup what they owe along with any extra costs such as paying for my rental truck and the court costs) and it will be sold in a bundle on the court house steps. I work such hours that I have had the time to go to the courts (open between 9 and 3) and cannot believe that a company would do this. I guess they do not run into a lot of people like me but believe me, it has gotten down to what is right and what is wrong and the way I see it, these people are definitely in the wrong for thinking they could mess over me, ain't happening. Oh, the guy in court said lots of times when a big truck pulls up in front like this to load up, somehow or 'nother the company starts digging in their pocket- either way, the money or the furniture!! Steam is coming from my ears!!!
I think you have reached your boiling point and
want to just let her go as a friend. If it really bothers you this much, then do it. I am so glad to see these other posts. My Aunt gets terribly upset with her friend and recently the aunt tells me the friend's family trying to get her to a physician's office because of such bad memory. I tell my aunt this is not something her friend is trying to do (as well as my dear aunt's niece, myself) but she does not understand. I am so thankful at 86 years her mind is as good as it is, very thankful. The aunt also speaks of her sister (she is 88) and this sister has short-term memory loss and again the clear-thinking aunt just don't get it. You probably won't be able to change her misfortunate not to be able to recall things so don't get out of sorts, just move on.
I am truly glad that you reached this child; however, sm
scouts in our area is a joke. On top of that it is more mothers than father teaching the scouts. Well, lets just say, the boys don't respect it. I can't respect it. The mothers CANNOT take them camping. It is not safe. (They really just don't want to miss Dancing with the Stars or something like that). Our group did photograph album. No did not enjoy doing it. They could not light a campfire as they "might get burned." Scouts are really a joke in some places. So glad yours is not one of them!
When my arms no longer reached the keyboard, I was suspicious.
I then lapsed into a coma and didn't wake up until there was a strange person with spiked orange hair in my kitchen, demanding the keys to my car. It was either a burglar or my child - I don't know. They've never come back with the car, but that's not proof of anything so I haven't filed a police report yet.
But with spray bottle you have to be with dog 24/7.
x
Agree with below, don't bottle it up sm
I tend to do this also and ended up with shingles at the age of 14 and again at age 34 last year due to stress. Meeting new people as suggested by others is a great idea. If you want, trying visiting a local church. This is one of the things that helped me the most since I started going again. The socialization alone has been almost as good for me as the messages.
just my 3 cents - Spin The Bottle is okay for you...
very curious............
Spin the bottle with 2nd graders, sure
not. I was reading this last night and that was the first thing that came to mind when I read about Valentine's party and told my hubby I was going to post a spin the bottle. That should get some thought. He and I both had a laugh. Of course, not, you silly bunny....
After a while, just shaking the spray bottle sm

worked with my cats.  My MIL had to lock her cat in the laundry room at night (huge room, bigger than some bedrooms! LOL) because she kept biting my FIL's tubing to his oxygen tank in the middle of the night. After my FIL passed away, the cat started biting the tubing on my MIL's air mattress.  At that point she gave up and gave the cat to a friend.

Hope you have better luck with yours!  If you give them plenty of "safe" scratching alternatives, and spread catnip liberally on them, it should at least cut down on their clawing the couch. Be sure the scratching surfaces are sturdy, though - those two-foot cylindrical scratching posts are worthless. Here is one that might work better:

WATER spray bottle!
They hate it. Combine it with a fairly loud NO. They CAN be trained. Nail tips are probably humane alternative to the declawing thing.
How about putting your hot water bottle/bag in SM
the microwave to just get the chill off ot it before you apply it. The house was frigid cold and I wanted to warm up. Kept it in for a little two long and the whole microwave and kitchen smelled of burned rubber for I don't know how long!  TOP THAT, why doncha!
You can put Listerine in a spray bottle
and spray around the door frame. This will keep mosquitoes away, and hopefully that will mean fewer frogs and lizards for you.
spray bottle with water.
for you
That water bottle you mentioned...
Don't give up on it too soon - and also try not to leave kittie alone in the rooms where she does the most damage. If you have to go out and leave her home alone, can you confine her to the bedroom while you're gone?

Two of our cats are really persistent about investigating the kitchen counters, and we keep a water bottle handy all the time, but they're slowly starting to realize that we mean it when we say, DOWN!

Also, we added a little vinegar to the water.

But like I said, it takes time and consistency with the water bottle method.

Good luck!
Can't believe he wasn't even in the bottom three! nm

I always comb from the bottom up
Use a wide tooth comb. When hair is wet, start from the bottom and comb up a little at a time. Tangles seemed to "slide" out better going bottom to top., and it keeps you from ending up with a big knot at the bottom.
bottom line
The bottom line is the rules. We all have rules. We all have choices. There are consequences to our choices. That is life. Whether or not you agree to the rules and/or the consequenes is irrelevant.

If one does not like the idea of a teacher getting his/her jollies out of paddling a female student, then one must keep that in mind when choosing to break a rule.

There were 2 choices of punishment here and, one of which was not corporal, but IMO missing class would hurt your daughter more in the long run. I do think she made the right choice and I also think it was wise to tell her that next time she'll have to miss class.

It's so easy as parents to set rules and consequences and not follow through with the consequences, but in an environment with hundreds and sometimes thousands of students, teachers/administrators must follow through or there would be no education.

I'm not saying the punishment fits the crime here, but after the fact is too late.

It's obvious that you completely understand the above because you are not arguing the unfairness of the punishment, but anxiety over your child. Any good parent would feel that way.

I'm just posting this in response to the posts that argue against corporal punishment. I don't agree with it either just for the record. There are laws I don't agree with but guess what? In the real world, I break a law I don't agree with and I get punished.

I hope you slept well and all went well today (Monday). Please post a followup.
Bottom eye liner sm
Gosh, I am waay up there but have absolutely no bottom eyelashes, I put a thin brown liner on or everyone tells me I look sick or awful, and I also think I look really bad. Please tell me a thin brown line is okay on the bottom lid. I know they glue eyelashes on, but want no one near my eyes. Anyone else bottom lash bald?? As for the younger kids, as long as they don't look like a racoon, less is more and keep it light, it's okay but preteen, is questionable. Even my 5+ year old puts a little blush on and lip gloss to play and then we make her wipe it almost all off before she leaves the house. They just want to fit in. So do I!! Help!
cashews... top or bottom?

why are big bras on the bottom and
the cute little AA's on top. If I reach for the ones on the bottom, I may just keep going over, unable to stop myself!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
We will be leaving the space between our pillows where Fred slept each night empty in his honor. I truly appreciate the love and support you all have shown. Only those who have walked in our shoes can understand the depth of the love and the enormous loss we feel.
I think the bottom 3 tonight will be
Lil, Matt, and Allison. Possibly Kris. I think Matt's going home, simply because he's not as memorable as some of the others even though I really like him.
You have very good taste! My fav too, but left a $65 bottle in a

Yes, I keep a bottle of water at on my night stand. sm
But I also have to get up anyway to pee every 2 hours so I'm not sure why I bother cause I could just get a drink when I get up anyway.
Not using the entire bottle of something and just opening full ones! SM
I have quite a collection of shampoo bottles with about 3/4 inch in the bottom!! Makes me mad at myself!
What about buying a bottle of 'Liquid Paper 2-in1" -sm
(which is a cool little combination wide brush or pinpoint correction fluid applicator, depending on which cap you take off), then paint the letters back on the keyboard? Then, once the Liquid Paper has dried, paint over it with clear nail polish to protect it from getting worn off.

(Or, like the poster below, if you REALLY want to confuse people, you could always paint the wrong letters on the wrong keys!)
;D
Being able to buy and enjoy a nice bottle of wine.

Hand him a bottle of sleeping pills and say

Does it clean the bottom of the shower/tub also?

I agree with you - the bottom 4 now are all GREAT

That is still a high $ pole - even at the bottom! nm

Middle here, too, for everything so you don't scorch the bottom or

I was glad Adam was in the bottom two.
He's getting so monotonous. I would have preferred Allison go before Matt though. And what about Kris?! He should've gone before Matt or Allison. Guess the young girls are voting enough for him to keep him around. Either way, at this point, as long as Danny stays, I'm happy :)

I wonder how much damage is being done by the groups like 'vote for the worst' and DJs who tell them to do that, etc... Wish they'd let it play out without interference.
LMAO! Barbie rides a bottle rocket!
THAT is something I would love to see!
don't believe they were the bottom 3, Ryan said results in NO ORDER. (nm)

The bottom line is an infected person in
the largest city in Texas... not good.
37 y/o and I still have long thick blond hair to my bottom! sm
I have had long hair my entire life...and will probably keep it that way for many, many years to come. I used to be a very blond when I was young, but the older I get the darker it gets....so I do a nice color on it to keep it blond. I have a 13y/o daughter and we are looking more like sisters than mother/daughter..but I am not trying for that at all. I jut love my hair and dont care who else does or does not.
I graduated the bottom of my high school class (#136 out of 137), but
I have an IQ of 160.
But, lets bottom line this, being as married to the most powerful man in the US
I let her slide in her clothes, shoes, etc. She has a tall brother, therefore maybe her father tall, don’t know about her mother. She carries a lot of clout, no matter how she dresses, wears, her height, and on and on. Don’t hate on the First Lady.
Just wanted to comment on the wonderful quote at the bottom of your post!
xx
Frito corn chips in the bottom of a bowl, chili
on that with your choice of toppings - we usually put shredded cheese and onions on top. The local BBQ joint makes it with corn chips, shredded pulled pork, bbq sauce and bbq beans - SOOOO good!!
If you've got one, you've got bunches!

How do ya feel about cats?  That's what I'd do...get a cat...but I love cats and love it when they bring me 'presents' of dead varmints.

If that's not an option, and you're not comfortable with baiting, glue traps, or that sort of thing, it'd be worth it to hire a professional 'cridder ridder' or exterminator.  Those things will chew up your walls and floorboards like you have no idea and cause incredible amounts of damage.  Good luck in your jihad!

I've done this 12 yrs and I've had to take breaks sm
Took a break and worked at my kids preschool one year, worked at a hospital one year, took a couple months off once. It does burn you out because it takes all of your concentration. When I worked at the hospital as a secretary I could not believe how easy the job was ;-) I was sooo used to just getting paid for actual work that when I had a conversation with a coworker or a phone call or took lunch, I felt like I was getting away with a lot! I hope your break works out!! I wish you lived close-by, we could take turns watching each others kids ;-)
I've been using...
Zicam severe congestion. It gives me temporary relief and I've been taking Singulair, but originally nasal discharge was clear, this morning it was yellow (don't mean to gross anybody out). Could it have turned into a sinus infection? And if so, is it time to see the doctor??
I've tried that...

I've done that along with changing my diet but still no relief.  I just received an e-mail saying to try vitamin E which is what I am going to try next.

Thanks a bunch.....

I will try that too, I've had enough of this...sm

where to I go to do this, remove IE7 and reinstall IE6.

TIA

oh yea, we've been through that one . . SM
My husband is the type of person that avoids conflict, does not want to face it, because if you pretend it's not there, it isn't, right???? Yea. He was in counseling for a while, but never went back after a few times. He really felt like last night was a punch in the face, like it's a game or something . . . like if you look the part, you ARE the part.
