WATER spray bottle!
They hate it. Combine it with a fairly loud NO. They CAN be trained. Nail tips are probably humane alternative to the declawing thing.
But with spray bottle you have to be with dog 24/7.

After a while, just shaking the spray bottle sm

worked with my cats.  My MIL had to lock her cat in the laundry room at night (huge room, bigger than some bedrooms! LOL) because she kept biting my FIL's tubing to his oxygen tank in the middle of the night. After my FIL passed away, the cat started biting the tubing on my MIL's air mattress.  At that point she gave up and gave the cat to a friend.

Hope you have better luck with yours!  If you give them plenty of "safe" scratching alternatives, and spread catnip liberally on them, it should at least cut down on their clawing the couch. Be sure the scratching surfaces are sturdy, though - those two-foot cylindrical scratching posts are worthless. Here is one that might work better:

You can put Listerine in a spray bottle
and spray around the door frame. This will keep mosquitoes away, and hopefully that will mean fewer frogs and lizards for you.
How about putting your hot water bottle/bag in SM
the microwave to just get the chill off ot it before you apply it. The house was frigid cold and I wanted to warm up. Kept it in for a little two long and the whole microwave and kitchen smelled of burned rubber for I don't know how long!  TOP THAT, why doncha!
That water bottle you mentioned...
Don't give up on it too soon - and also try not to leave kittie alone in the rooms where she does the most damage. If you have to go out and leave her home alone, can you confine her to the bedroom while you're gone?

Two of our cats are really persistent about investigating the kitchen counters, and we keep a water bottle handy all the time, but they're slowly starting to realize that we mean it when we say, DOWN!

Also, we added a little vinegar to the water.

But like I said, it takes time and consistency with the water bottle method.

Good luck!
Yes, I keep a bottle of water at on my night stand. sm
But I also have to get up anyway to pee every 2 hours so I'm not sure why I bother cause I could just get a drink when I get up anyway.
I like an inside water fountain or a water wall. Saw it on

Do you have really hard water? Maybe leaving water spots from lime, calcium, etc.? Or are the spots

Agree with below, don't bottle it up sm
I tend to do this also and ended up with shingles at the age of 14 and again at age 34 last year due to stress. Meeting new people as suggested by others is a great idea. If you want, trying visiting a local church. This is one of the things that helped me the most since I started going again. The socialization alone has been almost as good for me as the messages.
just my 3 cents - Spin The Bottle is okay for you...
very curious............
Spin the bottle with 2nd graders, sure
not. I was reading this last night and that was the first thing that came to mind when I read about Valentine's party and told my hubby I was going to post a spin the bottle. That should get some thought. He and I both had a laugh. Of course, not, you silly bunny....
You have very good taste! My fav too, but left a $65 bottle in a

Not using the entire bottle of something and just opening full ones! SM
I have quite a collection of shampoo bottles with about 3/4 inch in the bottom!! Makes me mad at myself!
What about buying a bottle of 'Liquid Paper 2-in1" -sm
(which is a cool little combination wide brush or pinpoint correction fluid applicator, depending on which cap you take off), then paint the letters back on the keyboard? Then, once the Liquid Paper has dried, paint over it with clear nail polish to protect it from getting worn off.

(Or, like the poster below, if you REALLY want to confuse people, you could always paint the wrong letters on the wrong keys!)
;D
Being able to buy and enjoy a nice bottle of wine.

Now that I've reached the bottom of the bottle but...
thanks for the info. I love this product and so did my mom. The funeral director asked what my mom used on her skin as it was in such good shape and she was a beach goer. Oh well, back to Vaseline! Any other brand name this goes by? I have used the CVS brand also thinking it is Olay with a private label of CVS.

Cat away spray
You can spray on furniture and works for 24 hours. Also try rubbing catnip on scratching post. My cat disappeared 2 weeks ago. I think coyotes got him. But we could never keep him in. He also broke many a window screen escaping.
spray
keep a water bottle handy and spray them with it when you see them scratching -also spray Lysol or a solution of red pepper/water on the furniture - if it doesn't stain the furniture - check it first... good luck. .
LMAO! Barbie rides a bottle rocket!
THAT is something I would love to see!
I wonder if some "pine" spray...sm
or some other holiday scent would appeal to your lovely tree and you...  Bath and Body Works has some "home spray" that is rather nice.  I purchased some called "spiced cider" for our Thanksgiving get-together (powder room is fairly close to our kitchen) and it worked out great.  It is a very small container for $5.00, but it is so concentrated that you only need one little spray to make a difference.  I don't know what other scents they have or would appeal to you, but we also have an artificial tree, so this helps bring in that tree aroma.  Hopefully, I can find something similar to the spiced cider for the holiday season.   Have a good one!
Collars that spray
My vet uses collars that spray something in the dogs face. I can't think of what at the moment but the dogs sure don't like it! lol
hair spray?... sm
My beautician recommends putting the hair up in ponytail, etc. and using lots of hair spray to keep the lice off.  Don't think it's a "cure" but helped my daughter stop getting them.  Have you replaced bed pillows?  You have my deepest sympathies.  I remember going through this over and over again years ago.  Best of luck.
If you use nasal decongestant spray...(s/m)
don't keep it on the dresser next to your eye-moistening drops! This morning I came OH, so close to putting the nasal decongestant into my eye. That would HURT! (And my poor eye probably woulda' shriveled up like a raisin..)
OUCH! Now I keep them separate.
Lipstick pepper spray
Thought the pepper spray in disguise was a good idea for anyone. Couldn't find anything like the one you mentioned, but there is a pepper spray that looks like a tube of lipstick for 8.99 at this website if anyone is interested.

Try Static Guard spray.

Plastic Cap to a Lysol Spray Can up the....
Yes indeedy, most amusing one I ever typed. I cannot imagine how or why one would insert the plastic cap to a can of Lysol spray up the rectum.

All kinds of possible scenarios came to mind, and I kept myself amused all through my shift contemplating them!
Lysol Kitchen Bacterial Spray

I think the spray does too, but the candle smelled good in the box
no scent upon burning!!
Haha! I'd have gone out one night and spray-painted
a great big ol' laughing yellow SMILEY-FACE on the pavement at the crash site!
OFF spray for cats; also use mothballs in plastic baggie with sm
holes poked in the baggie with a fork. works for me!
Sometimes also pepper spray and an online recipe on how to make
That was also part of the story I saw on the news. I guess they put the pepper spray in the drink and then throw it. Not funny.
Two egg whites fried in butter flavored spray and a cup SM
of hot Lipton tea with lemon. Same thing every morning, and God help me if I look in the canister and discover I am out of tea bags!  That just can't happen!
I have been told that pepper spray doesn't always work

She probably could benefit from self-defence classes as well.

I agree. I do use a cleaner especially for LCD screens non alcohol. You spray it on little cloths
they give you.
Get some B-stress vitamins, Bach Rescue Remedy spray (sm)
Valerian Root to help you sleep. If all else fails ask the doc for something temporary for stress. I have been so stressed out before I couldn't stand it. Best wishes to you! I hope things get better soon. Take a day off!! A mental health day! Be lazy, take a hot bath, take a long walk.
We always used to use spray brake cleaner on the farm. Wasps would drop instantly, and somehow we

Some say it's the water...
and they are cooked in salted water - some are not. They have a crusty-hard outside and a moist middle. And they're huge. They really are the best! :)
Ice Water, sm
Soak apples in ice water and a little salt. Kabobs would be a great idea but not sure about the wooden skewers.
no where to put the water?
ever consider the toilet? Lot's of other nasty stuff goes down ther:)
Yes, usually when I get water in my ear, that happens.
I put a few drops of alcohol in my ear and it goes away.
Water is not the only --sm
source of fluoride though. It is in our toothpastes, mouthwashes, and probably a number of other items you would never suspect. You have to be proactive and check labels on EVERY thing to avoid it. This forced consumption of fluoride brings to mind the long suppressed addictiveness of nicotine in tobacco and the health implications that caused. I feel sometimes that having fluoride forced upon the unwitting public could possibly be in the same category. Flouride is in all actuality a rat poison, used many years ago for that reason only. It hardens bones (osteoporosis??) but I am doubtful about any other health *benefits* of it. I think there are many more risks involved in its use than the unwitting public will ever be made aware of and a lot of information about it being suppressed as well.
Some ants come in for water as much
or more than food. I have heard they don't like to walk thru talcum powder. You can put a circle of it around pet water bowls if that is the draw for them. See if you can find where they are coming in, both the inside entry point and the outside. Plug holes with silicone caulk or expanding caulk like STUFF. A natural product is diamateous earth (not the kind used for pools, though). Use only outside, or it may be okay in crawlspace, but not sure. You don't want to breathe it, so wear a mask while pouring. Once it is down it harmless to people and pets, but when hard-bodied insects walk through it, the texture tears their exoskeletons up and kills them. But it is washed away by rain, so very expensive. Depends on how rainy your climate is as to whether it will work for you.
If they get caught, off goes their water!

Have my shutters open this morning and I see my next door neighbor starting to water her lawn. We are in a drought really bad here and the water is being rationed, so to speak. No one waters on Sunday (and Sunday as I write) and we have an odd, even day system when we do water through the week. Atlanta, which is close by, has gone to a 1 day a week watering system. Some places in my state have turned off water to people caught abusing this. I remember in the 80s we had such a drought our showers were limited to 5 minutes. I would hope it does not get that bad again.

They use saline, right? Not just water.
Saline sprays don't bother me at all.
hot water cornbread

WARNING:  I do everything by eye....a pinch here, a smidgeon there...I just throw it all in a bowl and guesstimate.

Ya make 'em kinda like pancakes in a cast iron skillet on the stove and it doesn't heat the house up as much as baking.

Boil at least a cup of water in the microwave

Put about 1 to 2 cups of self-rising cornmeal in a bowl.  Add 1 beaten egg and mix thoroughly.  Then you add the boiling water in bits, slowly mixing it until the right consistency....not thin like pancakes.... kinda like what you would make for regular cornbread almost.

Heat skillet with about 1/8 to 1/4 inch oil heated med to med/hi.... then use a good sized serving spoon to dollop the mixture into the pan.  Watch carefully and try not to burn

DO NOT, under any circumstances use jiffy mix.

After 25 years I've finally gotten it nearly right (darn Yankee that I am).   Happy vows tomorrow!

Water 'em! (sm)
Hose them down outside, put them in the shower, or leave them out in the rain.

bluing and well water
I am on well water too. Have not used it most of my life but only the past 5 years so maybe that is part of my problem too! I don't know much about how it changes things. We do have a reverse osmosis system which is supposed to help remove rust and sulfur. Maybe I need the bluing too. More info on this would be appreciated! :) I also have allergies to most detergents so a brand name would be great!
