Perimenopausal question.....

For those in the perimenopausal age group, have you had a period before your next period is due.......just whatever info you have about your situation. I have had what appears to be another period between cycles with all the symptoms of a period. I have talked to my gyne but I cannot get a straight answer. He seems to act as if perimenopause does not exist. Any info from those in the know would be appreciated. Thanks!!!
