I didn't make up the 25.00 thing, got it from your post. I used it as an example to make a point, just like you did.

I was responding to your post that focused on the money rather than the true meaning of a wedding. You would have been upset if the majority of the guests brought objects as gifts rather than cash. I find that sad. A bride and groom should be grateful their guests came and shared their day. Guests at a wedding are just that - invited guests. They owe the bride and groom nothing. What and if they choose to give is up to them.

As for laughing at what some people spend on weddings? I agree with you there - it sure does say it all.
