Reminds me of a GYN report I typed

Posted By: where the poor lady (SM) on 2007-01-29
In Reply to: I was wondering why no soaping with my new body soap - Lolita

was in her 80's and thought she was reaching for the KY jelly on her nightstand, but grabbed body wash instead while she was making whoopee.  Poor thing had a terrible infection, hence her visit to the GYN.  I still have to commend her for having you know what, plus KY jelly!  Woohooooo!  What a night, she must of had!  Boy, did she pay for it in the end.

How would you like to have been MT who typed
xx
Just typed this a few minutes ago...

She has not ever committed suicide, but it is on her mind.

Good grief!

OK, should add..as I typed that msg out of haste
That there are a LOT of people that I miss that haven't been on. Too bad we can't keep the rude ones away and bring back some of the wonderful ones. You can tell the regulars cuz they have their monikers and don't hide...those are the ones I miss.
No, but as an ortho MT, I have typed a bunch of them.
p
that ASR typed it as parents not parrots. (NM)
x
the strangest thing I ever typed
Was a home invasion involving a big, strong, grown man who got pummeled. I never open the door to anyone I do not know!
haha, re-read what I typed....
and I realized the part to the OP, the first sentence didn't make sense, I didn't back up far enough, haha. I'm tired, shhhh, lol. I meant to delete the part "I think if you have a health reason" and just start with "I don't think you can..." Hope that makes more sense.

On that note, I'm going to sleep, haha.
LOL! Oh really? A trauma pt not getting surgery because their wasn't a typed sm
report in the system? Either you are exaggerating a bit or the trauma doc is an idio**. Never, in all of my years, have I known a trauma doc to deny surgery or not perform surgery due to a simple note not being typed. Emergency care if emergency care and they WILL bypass dictations with a simple use of the telephone! The trauma surgeon, in that instance, would have phoned the doc to receive any and all information on the patient if he needed any to proceed with surgery. I WISH my life as an at-home MT now were that special or important!
What was the funniest thing you typed over the last few days?
I had a doctor on Friday night who gave a whole list of his plans for his elderly patient and then at the end said,  Rib fractures will be repeated.  Owie!!!
Yikes! Sounds like one I typed just yesterday!
I've never wanted to become pregnant.
Sure is true. I thought I typed enough to bore you all to death!
Lots more in between the lines, but no matter, kids are back to their original school and I learned my lesson. We live 2 minutes from the school and I have them leave 20 minutes ahead of time. LOL. BTW: This school has a 5 minute late bell which is not tardy and a 15 minute tardy bell, so you see they understand about the 1 minute late thing. Well, diffrent strokes for different folks. I guess we are where we belong now. Thanks for listening and understanding :)
Would you report.
If you saw someone moving there furniture out of the house 2 days before their housefire?
That's right. I had one report where pt had SM
cancer of the pancreas and, according to report, was supposd to be dead ten years ago. The guy was alive and doing fairly well with gastrostomy tube. I doubt when doctors give so much time left to live, unless the patient is in really bad shape and we are talking about days; but years? No. SIL may be around for a lot longer.

As for me, I would go to Europe. Maybe stay in Europe! LOL!
Here's two from the same report
Cataractectomy and hyperpotassemia. I used to always change these to cataract extraction and hyperkalemia but in these days of verbatim, I put them through as is. They just look stupid to me.

My ER report today -
CHIEF COMPLAINT:  Difficulty pooping.
Third report of the morning...
Doctor starts to spell patient's name...D - i - g, as in Zebra.  Yes, he's an ESL and it's too early in the morning for this!
Get a copy of the op report!
Request a copy of that report or call the physician who performed the procedure.  I was put under general for a procedure that should have been done under conscious sedation.  I complained of throat soreness, and couldn't understand why.  Hence, the OR report confirmed general anesthesia!  Oh my gosh!   How rude for that tech to say that to your husband!  I have never heard of having a colonoscopy without at least some Valium preprocedure, but I guess it could be.
this was a preliminary report - sorry....sm
preliminary is what Dr. Perper just said........and they do think a combination of drugs got her........but won't know for about a month.
I read the report--sm
and this is what I gleaned from it.

First off, this doctor may be an orthopedic hand surgeon, but in this case, along with others, he was a *study researcher*. He and some colleagues, also *study researchers* read 117 reports, but they did not specify where these *reports* came from. (hmmmm). This was not something he had *discovered* on his own and through his own work as an orthopedic surgeon. This was something he *read.*

Anyway, his conclusion from *reading these reports* was, *A major risk factor for carpal tunnel is genetics.*

The very next sentence says, *Exactly what these genetic factors are is not known.* (hmmm)

Then he also says *The quality and strength of evidence supporting genetics or inherent risk factors was felt to be MODERATE.*

Moderate??? 117 reports?? With all the carpal tunnel cases in the United States alone, I really do not feel that 117 reports from unspecified sources is the end-all and know-all for saying that repetitive use does not cause carpal tunnel. First off, I would want to know who these reports were written by, and pointing to only a *moderate* strength of evidence does not convince me, either. Basically, I would need much more proof than this. AND I would wonder exactly how much money this doctor and his co-researchers were paid to come up with this *conclusion.*

But, this is just my opinion. I do my research too and if it doesn't sound right, it usually isn't. Thanks for the link though and for giving me another opportunity to scrutinize yet another empty claim.
Take it seriously and report to the person
you would think would be most instrumental in getting the assistance she seems to need.
I wish to report my hubby
for the crime of stealing the affection of our foster dog, Cedric.

DH is home sick and I think it's a scheme to spend time with Cedric (though he would never admit this!) to win Cedric's heart over to love only him.

How did I lose control ... LOL.

In this day and age..absolutely. I'd report it to someone.
`
do not wait - do something now -- report her

Before another family or child is scarred by this counselor you need to write a letter to the principal and to the school board documenting everything that has happened.  If you let it go, it will continue and harm other children.  I am all for making children accountable for their actions and sometimes feel that parents do coddle too much sometimes but in this occurence -- do not and I really urge you to do something about it and report it.  If you stand by and let this continue then you are partially responsible -- more of us need to become involved and do something about things like this.   Let us know what happens.   Just document in writing everything that has happened and does happen.

Report length
The longer the better if it's by one of my favorites.
they can be put on your credit report...
I know for sure b/c I have one on mine. :(

Header on an ER report

I will never forget--

ATV versus Tree.

ATV lost.

Rates right up there with bus versus bicycle.  Bicycle lost.  Car versus semi.  Car lost.  Car versus pedestrian.  Pedestrian lost.

I'd report her to her superiors.

I'd be into that principal's office in a hot minute, have that teacher, and her union rep right there and have her disciplined.  That is a breech of confidentiality and by no means should she have done that; it is nobody's business what condition that young boy has or deals with every day.

The bullying needs addressed as well with the principal and those parents called, and then what you do is request he be switched to another school in the district or you'll take to the local newspaper.

I am so tired of these teachers thinking they can just speak to students any way they choose, and not expect any repercussions from it.  I had a teacher tell my son that his "mother's sob story doesn't fly that you are adjusting to a new school."  Well, I was hot!  I set up a meeting and put her in her place, and the principal actually agreed with me and not her.  I will not tolerate this any longer.

I am now wondering what to do about the fact that my son is being punished for swearing in the hallway to another student and has to serve a detention but the swearing occurred about a month ago.  If that was the case, it needed to be addressed when it happened, not a month later.  My son didn't even know what he was being called in about it was so darned long ago.  These teachers need to understand that they are the ones that students are supposed to look up to, and this teacher in this OP's life obviously is not setting a good example.  This just goes to show how this world has lots to improve upon including people in positions where they are impressionable on our youth.  She was wrong, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.  JMO.

Please report this to the police (sm)
This is threatening and dangerous behavior. he is not afraid to knock on your door or to leave a note. Please call the police and report this immediately.
GOOD REPORT~
My brother and his wife & son went to see them this a.m. and when they walked in Lindsay's room she was texting someone on her phone.. she actually, so they have said has worse injuries than Mikey, she messed up her spleen, lacerated her liver, had some internal bleeding & said they might have to do surgery, not sure about that yet, what they thought was a break was an old wound, not a new break.. Mikey's parents talked to the dr. this a.m. & said he would heal, had a collapsed lung, etc, but he is out of danger as far as whether he's gonna make it. so thanks for all the prayers and Thank God for them both going to be okay..
hah, that reminds me of when
i was a youngster and after washing my hands in my grandma's bathroom, put on 'lotion' and could't get it to rub in!! I complained to her it wouldn't absorb, only to find out it was a soap -- never had seen soap in a bottle!! before...
Reminds me of my mam-maw
she used this for anything but I never knew was good for that. You can use this for sores in your mouth as well as sores on your knee. I have some so now will try for these chapped lips. Thanks, should have known.
Reminds me of DH's tan...sm
He was so proud, he thought he was "tanned under the sunburn" until he took a shower - he said "I think my tan's washing off." When I asked him what sunscreen he had used, I realized he had used my self-tanning lotion instead!
Reminds me of this one....lol
"CHEATING" by Sara Evans

You say your every day is a bad dream that keeps repeating.
Maybe you should have thought about that when you were cheating.

How do you like that furnished room, the bed, the chair, the table
The TV picture comes and goes, too bad you don't have cable
How do you like that paper plate and those pork 'n' beans you are eating.
Maybe you should have thought about that, when you were cheating.

How do you like that beat up car, I think its fair we traded
Your pickup truck is running fine, it's cozy ride for dating.
Yes, I've been out a time or two, and found the comfort I've been needing.
Maybe you should have thought about that, when you were cheating.

You made your bed, and your out of mine, you lie awake and I sleep just fine.
You've done your sowin', now you can do the reaping.
Maybe you should have thought about that, when you were cheating.

Now what became of what's-her-name, after she spent all of your money and had all your time. Did she leave you just like you left me, well, sometimes life is funny.

But no, I won't be glad to take you back, as if all is fine and dandy.
Maybe you should have thought about that, when you were cheating.

Reminds me ....

My son and I were singing along with Elton John's song - Tiny Dancer - to which he asks me who is singing.  Then he wanted to know why Elton was singing about Tony Danza!

Hold me closer Tony Danza............. I laughed till I cried!

OMG, that reminds me
of my most embarrassing confession- I LOVE popping zits/blackheads (but only my own). The more gunk that comes out the better. When I get a really good one I will spend 20 minutes searching to try to find another one. I know it sounds totally gross but it is so strangely satisfying.
reminds me of me when I was little!
LOL
That reminds me of my DH! . .

We have a small hobby farm and he works on it before/after work and on weekends. He would hate life if all he did was work and come home. I hate it when it is rainy or the weather is bad because he just sits in the house and complains about how there isn't anything to do (like a little kid!). Sometimes it makes me feel like he hates to spend time with me, but I figure he is just happiest taking care of his tractor and animals and whatever else he does out there. It must be a guy thing. He always says he needs to get a hobby that doesn't involve work. I have been trying to get involved with the farming stuff, so I can do things outside with him. He said he will help build me a chicken house so I can get some chickens this spring. He said he will help me get the garden going too. I guess I just need to meet him halfway and be more involved. Good luck to you!

this reminds me of what I went through
in the 80's with 4. One teacher kept sending me a note that Rob needed a box of Kleenex and I fussed at him, "how much Kleenex are you using?". He had said so far. I called the teacher and said I was going to send the same roll of toilet paper we were having to use at home. She told me it was for the kids whose parents did not have money for these things and I told her, "guess what, I am one of those parents. I'm a widow with 4 kids". I never got asked for anything again. I thought I would choke on school supplies and extras the teachers liked such as Weekly Reader (in Texas, all school books are free, but that does not include Weekly Reader). There was the added pressure of each class getting a pizza party for 100% compliance. I wonder what they are going to do now with all the health food concerns, LOL.
Ugh. Reminds me of (sm)
I remember dating this very handsome eligible batchelor when I was in my early 20s. He had his own apartment and a good job. He proudly told me about the fancy set of pots and pans he'd bought, so that was one thing he'd already have when he got married. I don't even care about cooking, but I didn't like the idea of the male picking out stuff for his future wife. I'm sure he made somebody a great husband, but it's funny how that conversation set off alarm bells for me.

My husband also bought a car without talking to me about it while we were engaged, and I was quite shocked. It did say something about his attitude about money and purchases, and I should have listened to those warning bells too.
LOL - that reminds me of the other day when
my 7 year old son came home from school. He asked me did I know that kids used to not speak unless spoken too. I told him what a wonderful concept that was that we've lost over the years. He just looked at me horrified. His expression was priceless! :)
This reminds me of....
the many conversations I would find myself having inside my head right BEFORE I was able to make my decisive move. Pardon me for saying, but this looks like projection on your part, especially the part that has to do with your concrete conviction that she wants to stay. It is apparent that she does not, only that she is trying to find her way out. Your rhetoric has a sense of panic and desperation about it that I believe has very little to do with anon, but rather are vestiges of your own past experience with this. In fact, it sounds like you have PTSD that has been triggered. If you want to be helpful, take a deep breath, count to 10 and try dialing it back a bit.
That reminds me of when my

grandfather died.  We took my then 8-year-old to the viewing and after everyone had gone through and the family was allowed some private time, he asked if he could go up to say his goodbyes (we had explained the funeral process to him beforehand).

Well, he went up beside my grandma (she was just mentally and physically exhausted from the months caring for him leading up to his death and the funeral arrangements), and my 8-year-old, having never been to a funeral before, asked if he could touch Pap.  Grandma said it was okay and he touched his hand first and told grandma it was cold and he needed covered up.  I thought my grandma would lose it at that point and had gone up to bring my son back to sit down.  Well, she told him it was okay to touch him and say good bye.  So he went up and patted his head.  He had never touched my Pap's head before and I guess he was curious.  My Pap was not very affectionate -- ex-Marine, retired corrections officer -- you get the picutre.  I guess my son thought this was his chance, and so he just kept patting his head like a dog.  About that point, my gram lost it and said to my 8-year-old, if you don't stop playing with your Pap's head, he's going to jump up out of that coffin after you.  My 8-year-old's eyes got as big as golf balls and he came back quick to his seat.  My gram couldn't help laughing.  She said it was the funniest thing and it never occurred to her that he would actually believe that his Pap could get out of that coffin.  Now, when anyone brings up my Pap's passing, my gram tells that story and can't help laughing.  It was a much needed way to break the tension my gram was experiencing.

This reminds me
Anyone know how to get rid of blackheads? I have always had very dry skin, so I try not to overwash; but the last few years I have gotten so many blackheads!! I guess I must be more oily on the nose and cheek bones than I realize.

I don't think it helps when using sunscreen (even though they say they don't cause them).
That reminds me...
Years ago, I typed for a hospital who had a GYN resident who refused to participate in abortions. The attending respected her wishes, but she still had to dictate them, even though she had to make note in every procedure that she was not present.

I had to admire her for sticking to her guns, but it didn't get her out of the paperwork!

I would call the sheriff right now and report - seriously.
That is very, very unusual behavior and you need to make a record of it and protect yourself. Lock all your doors and be very, very cautious now. He knows you are alone now and vulnerable and who knows what he might do. Be careful!
According to news report today......sm
the reason it didn't pop up was because the system is not integrated and so this info would not have been found. I find it weird and scary that the state of Virginia found this man mentally ill and as a threat to himself and OTHERS, and STILL the system just let him walk off and back into the university system without any follow up on him.
Report this to animal control!
You need to file a report of both killings to the animal control officer.  My neighbor had 2 Akitas (aggressive like chows) who attacked and killed my cat.  Unfortunately my cat for some unknown mind boggling reason jumped over her fence into her fenced-in yard, BUT . . . these 2 dogs had also gotten loose a couple of times and attacked a woman getting her mail from her mailbox!  Vicious dogs are vicious dogs and this needs to be documented by you.  I feel so bad for your cats, but please don't let it happen to any other poor animals!
Thanks to everyone and I am happy to report I have been demoted... SM

to handing out programs at the service, another part of this wedding I do not understand. Is this a normal thing, programs at weddings?  Maybe I've just been out of touch for too long or I'm just too kuntry, but I've never heard of a guest book attendant or having programs at a wedding.

Ah well, I'm just happy that when the food is served, I'll be comfy at my table ready to eat and not standing by some silly book making people sign it!

if it does show up on your credit report sm
You could try to get it removed. Tell the credit agency to remove it because you don't owe the money, that you sent a certified letter within 7 days to cancel this and that legally you don't owe it. Check out the state attorney general's office. If it were me, I would not pay it. If it does end up on your credit report, i don't know if paying it will get it removed.
You're doing my husband's report? (nm)

F.R.E.E. credit report.com baby. LOL.
That guy rapping with his little rice burner is HILARIOUS.. I find myself singing that song in the car.
