Resolve will probably get rid of the stain -sm

In Reply to: This may sound funny, but I just set a hot pan on my carpet because I took SM - What should I do?

it took out permanent black marker when my daughter went crazy with it on the carpet....still have no clue why it worked but it got it all out, though I did do it within 5 minutes of her drawing all over the carpet. As for the hard fibers, as mentioned below they are melted and no hope for them. You will need to cut/shave them possibly though will have an indent/ring from that. If you have any spare carpet (may from a closet) you could have a professional cut it out and paste in a new piece. Good luck!

Do you wonder if this heat will ever resolve? sm
We sure could use a good, soaking rain storm.

I agree, these do not come off, and sort of stain your lips, lol
But if you reapply the gloss often it looks nice.
Thanks to all for caring. I will use Resolve and update on this board SM

to let you know. It happened so quickly, and I guess that is what happens when you snack in the living room. I am used to sometimes putting my glass or bowl on the floor when I am finished eating. This time I paid a high price. I think it may at least take some of the stain out, and thank God it was one of my smaller pans.  As Cat said,  a throw rug is an option as well.

Have a great Thanksgiving!  I am working, but will have the afternoon with my family.

Well, I tried the Resolve today after work, and the carpet is sm
really no better at all. It is fried.  Actually the round spot shows up better now because some of the carpet around it got clean and the round mark still dark and burned.   At least I tried. I will  just have to get a throw rug, something quite pretty I hope to take away the memories of a seemingly very small UFO that landed on my carpet!
You mean "Upchucked" coffee...i have a friend who used their espresso to stain a table
and it came out pretty good.  Now Peet's - THAT'S REAL COFFEE!!
