I don't think it is mean. I have a friend who has two kitties from the same litter as mine. She uses one on hers and it works for the most part.

My kitty, however, is not even afraid of the squirt gun. If you spray him with it, he will actually attack you because he thinks it is play time.

He really actually sounds fun, in spite of all the trouble he makes. Seems like perhaps it would be worth it to go to the dollar store or dollar general and perhaps get him his own tree?
