when looking at birds is almost universal with cats. My siamese mix (big talkers anyway) did it the most, but my other cats did it too.

The theory I heard is they are practicing their death bite, and bird movement gets them more excited than anything else.

Birds really rev my dogs up, too. At the pet stores, Sasha crashes into the glass trying to get at the birds. Um, there is glass there - every time, Sasha, LOL.
