Imagination is when all parties know it's just a game.
If you were fine with finding out Santa was just a myth, fine, hopefully your kids will be the same. But don't have a cow just because some people aren't into the Santa thing. And I don't have kids, so you don't have to worry about my "poor kids." And it's not necessary to e-mail me to express your anger over my opinion.
You have just very vivid dreams and
are in an in-between-stage, not anymore fully awake, but not totally asleep yet, so you do not know if it is really happening or not.

If you are outside of the REM sleep stage (fully asleep), then one remembers one's dreams, only in the REM-stage one doesn't.

So, if somebody says that he/she never remembers his dreams, then his dreams are all in the REM-stage. Because everybody has dreams, always, because the brain does not come to a stop when we sleep, it works 24/7.

Sometimes my husband is half asleep and all of a sudden he asks me. 'Did the doorbell ring?' 'No,' I say, 'I didn't hear anything!'

I think more people than we think experience this.

Once the same happened to me:

I had a dream that somebody was running after me and I could not move. Then I woke up and realized it was a dream. What a relief!

Also not being able to scream happens a lot in one'e sleep.

These are just nightmares.

Forget about it.

If were you, I would stop the Xanax, though, this might contribute to this.
Also sleeping pills!
My one very vivid memor was before I even started school
Grandpa and I would take a walk through his neighborhood every Saturday morning and eventually make it to Dunkin Donuts for chocolate covered sprinkled donuts and hot chocolate. On the way back, we'd stop off at his neighbors and say hi. One neighbor always had a bowl of "wedding mints" sitting on her coffee table.

Another favorite was getting to the be the Statue of Liberty in a parade while in Bluebirds! It's hard to stand still on a moving float!!
Don't know how it can ruin your life unless you let it - sm
You just have to watch your back and so no to the vultures. Not too hard to do. I'd have a lot of fun with that kind of cash, pay off the bills, build/buy a new house, new car, set up trust funds for my kids, rock solid retirement fund for me in my old age, and a few nice vacations here and there, and probably something wildly extravagant that you'd never do unless you were a zillionaire. I'd help out a few friends too but not everyone who asked for a handout, especially relatives I did not know or were not friendly with.
So don't let her ruin his party!

Doesn't your son have enough guy friends to have a fun party?  There will be plenty of time later on for dating.  He's only 16, for crying out loud.  He should be focusing on education anyway.  Girls are just a distraction.

But doesn't it ruin your credit?
I would like to just consolidate mine into one large payment. I am not having problems paying the minimums now but it's gotten to a pretty high amount combined and I fear I'll be paying forever.

However, I have heard doing this ruins your credit.

Is that the case?

TIA
No experience with the program but definitely experience with the symptoms! nm

Atlanta
So sorry it turned out so horribly bad! I hope in the end it is not a permanent black ink blob on your marriage and soon you can drop some bleach on it and wash it clean. Its good you are able to cry it out and not turn to spiteful hate. Another AFGE (af-ghee) - "another f***** growth experience". I hope you can still love your husband as he is.

(((hugs)))
Has 1 in Atlanta
but have no plans on visiting as sure would be disappointed - my husband is top chef and most restaurant ventures just do not match up.
Thanks for the tip. I'm near Atlanta, and I'm sure there is one here.
I love a bargain, and we have been wanting to volunteer for HFH anyway, so we'll sign up for that as well!!
In Atlanta in the 80s, blizzard
here, nothing running, things closed down, a real mess
I just moved from Atlanta and believe me when I say
most of the people there could care less about your lineage, would just be another good fight for them. Just spoke with my daughter and she told me a coworker of hers yelled at a person going through neighborhood driving too fast and the person got out and came back after her. Scared the girl to death and my daugher said she would not do that again. I have moved recently to a wonderful quiet place but still return to Atlanta to get my housekeeper. Making the news yesterday was young male, got upset with neighbor, got a gun and sprayed the neighbors home hitting a 2-year-old child inside his home, killing it in the mothers arms. Read about the killings here, for nothing. It the part about backbone for me, my kids would find that funny as when they were growing up they used such words about me like aggressive, outspoken, etc - but people say with age comes more wisdom.
It is 4 stores around Atlanta, don’t think
national. Let me settle up there first and then I will update. Let me say this, and this gives me hope, the court person the other day said a big chain owed $10,000 and when the truck pulled up in front of their store to load, the checkbook came out so I would like the money back - if not I take more furniture than I bought in the first place. I bought dinette but if I have to remove plan on 4 complete dinettes with 2 sofs and 2 chairs. Already have my wish list just in case!
I love Atlanta!!

the hot weather doesn't stop me either.

My DH is leaving in just a little bit for Atlanta
He is going on business for the weekend (we are in VA and have about 2in of snow now and more on the way) and he is taking my DD along for a little Father/daughter bonding. We have been following the weather and saw that it is in the 30s today and up to in the 50s tomorrow then back to 30s on Sat. with snow expected. My daughter is going crazy trying to decide what to pack. LOL
Outskirting Atlanta but come on down
we got rain after the snow yesterday and then some sleet, worried about the road situation but everything stayed just above freezing- cold here, needing coats, gloves and etc. but not unbearable. Coming here, though, still apt to see some with their sandals on, always happens!
bad weather in Atlanta
My sister lives there but they just got a lot of thunder and some rain, northeast of Atlanta. I hate to even hear the word.  I hope it quietens there soon for you.
Northeast Atlanta is around 1.79, but
my husband saw it for 1.69 at one store yesterday.

Yes, the case was in Atlanta
The rings he took were from a young, married mother and her husband was relentless in finding out who did this. Not only was he able to recover his wife's rings but others saw the guy on TV and he also had committed crimes against their relatives. I definitely would ask about cameras that might be there. The home should want to assist.
Wish you would send some this way (Atlanta)!

Regarding bus accident on Atlanta Interstate

I was just curious to know if any of you ever experienced that intersection.  From what I see on the news, it looks extremely dangerous.  I can't imagine the powers that be would allow such an "off ramp" to exist as it appears on TV.  I mean, it looks like the HOV lane, which is the "off ramp" ends at a stop sign at the end of an incline?

Apparently this is a frequent accident intersection.  Hopefully this tragedy will encourage some sort of modification.

Around Atlanta it's $10/night/pet with discounts for ....sm
multi-pets in a family of usually a couple of bucks/pet/night.

We rarely board ours as we have a couple of trusty neighbors (1 an 11-year-old and another an adult) who are usually available to check on our "children" while we're gone and we pay them $20 a day to come by 3 times to let the dogs out and make sure all animals have food/water. It sure beats the $64 a day we'd pay the vet's office for the 8 that would have to stay, plus the animals get to stay at home.
My girlfriend went to school here in Atlanta
with Gladys Knight at Archer High.
I got it at QT in Austell.... you can check Atlanta gas prices....sm
at http://www.atlantagasprices.com - I'm seeing prices all around $1.99 to $2.04 posted on there from consumers.
My sister and her husband are both teachers in Atlanta and -
The word is that many teachers will pass kids out of their current grade just to get rid of them. They tell me the biggest fear of the teachers is to have to teach the same problem child twice! They also say that some parents INSIST that their child be passed no matter what. So sad because it is the children who suffer!
On 1 Atlanta radio station this morning...sm
they were begging listeners that if anyone out there actually voted for this guy to please call them and explain why.  They couldn't get anyone to call in other than folks saying that they are wondering if people are voting for this kid to annoy  Simon.
No, Reynolds, GA. About an hour south of Atlanta, I think. nm

Georgia, 30 miles south of Atlanta

Back from Atlanta early..Remember me from below? :( nm

We ended up fighting most of the time and ended up coming home this afternoon. We didn't go to this restaurant I wanted to visit so bad, nothing.

Got home, didn't say a word, and then WWIII began.  Words flew! Emotions flew! It's so, so sad.  I heard for the 1st time tonight that he doesn't think he can live like this anymore.  He's never said those words to me before.  We're both hard headed, completely opposite, and continue to hurt each other.  He's passive, apathetic, quiet, I'm outgoing, bubbly, fun - he makes me mad, I make him mad. It's like we can't appreciate the differences in each other. It makes us angry.  I wanted him to be EXCITED about taking me to this restaurant I've been talking about for weeks. Instead he grumbled about traffic.  Finally, about 3 o'clock today I just said, "FORGET IT! LET'S JUST GO HOME!!!" And he turned the car around and we went home. I couldn't believe it!  Of course that made me appalled!  I didn't really mean for him to take me home early!! Doesn't he know better?

So when we fought he told me he couldn't read my mind and I yelled, "after 10 years how can you NOT read my mind? You KNEW I didn't really want to go home!"  And on and on it went.

I'm sad tonight. Sounds so stupid and immature on both sides, I know.  I just wish he would open up and be romantic, not complain, and just be sweet. Be something! Be excited about being in Atlanta with me.......I'm going to bed alone tonight and I'm going to cry.

Up to 2 last night watching about tornado that hit Atlanta
I live really close to there and so much destruction, unbelievable that it went right downtown. Today we are having tornados over Georgia and I get scared just hearing about them. They are in the upper northern part as I type this. Pray for everyone to be safe.
Is the case you're talking about in Atlanta?
That story was all over the news here.  I even threatened them with that particular case and how the general public doesn't like stories regarding injustice to children or the elderly and maybe I would contact the local media about this.
The only panda, I hear, born in the US this year is in Atlanta, yeh!
I do not have membership but used to live within walking distance of the zoo and signed up to volunteer when we originally got the pandas so able to get in before the crowds to see them. Immediate fall in love situation. If you are able to get the AJC or Atlanta TV channels, they have their panda weekly exams and it is a big awwwwwwwwww for me. Can hardly wait to see her. What a present for us all!
Sigh...No, I am near Atlanta, GA. I have tons of responses to "ship" her, but i just don't
I want to ship her to a stranger, although, YOU sound like the perfect fit for her. She adores our boys and treats them like she is their mother, but she needs a good, stable, loving environment right now. I have to take our son to the doctor again at 3:30 again for severe coughing and respiratory problems..
Yippee!!! We've got some snow in the Atlanta area!!! sm
I can just envision some of you will be laughing at us.... but right now we have about an inch on the ground and maybe some more to come tonight.  4-6" are expected in the northeast Georgia and mountains area.  Bring it on!!!
Snowing here in Henry County Georgia right below Atlanta

Courts in Atlanta lied to, kids given to nonfamily members
I know for a fact, had 2 grandkids, my husband's daughter by previous marriage- we took in, their g'father died, I had in my care for awhile- real mother went to court, lied to have children stay with a nonmember (heard stories before about this person selling/doing drugs) and the courts turned them over. For the most part, I am very glad to be out of that swinging door system, otherwise known as the court system.
Oh Wow. Staying in downtown Atlanta in a historic hotel. This place is haunted. No one

told me this, I am a Christian and I feel this heavy spirit following me everywhere I go! How crazy is that? I believe there is something here at this place. It is a beautiful place, but definitely something spiritual going on here. This was the place where they had some Gone With The Wind ball many years ago. Very strange.

We are here visiting and going to the zoo, children's museum, and aqauarium this week. Wow. I have the chills right now! night night

Spending a romantic weekend in Atlanta with hubby. Leaving at noon. Can't wait! nm

Do any of you experience this???
Do any of you transcriptionists experience severe pedal edema with foot pain?  My left foot is quite swollen, has been for quite some time, but I recently developed rather severe pain in my left foot, tender to touch, and painful to walk.  Ideas what the pain might be from, and do any of you experience this?  I'm sure the edema is from sitting, but the pain??
Anybody have experience with

smokless tobacco, snuff and what the effects are?  My son is 18, will be 19 in 3 months.  I found out over this past summer he was using this and I was not very happy about it.  Does it get you high or something?  He has a glassy-eyed look after he uses this product.  I have gone on line to read about it, but it only states it puts nicotine into your system.

He said he would stop while he was away at college. He has been home since last Friday and this morning I just found out he is still using it and lying to me.  He has been a runner all throughout high school and very athletic.  I am very saddened by this development in his life.

Yes, he is an adult but not of age to buy this or even alcohol.  That also was an issue over the summer and do not want to think about that today as I will really have a melt down.   Any thoughts or advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A very sad Mom today.

No experience
But thank God they found it early. Keep up your spirits and vitamins, keep your body as healthy as you can, eat the right foods and stay physically and mentally strong, cancer is no longer a death sentence remember that...
My experience..........sm
We lived in south Florida when our son was born, and at 6 weeks we traveled 16 hours to see our family. Our daughter was 3-1/2. We just took our time....I stopped to breastfeed him, took walks at rest areas, and still made good time. Mine tended to drop off to sleep as soon as the car began moving, so that made it easier. Our daughter would get car sick and had to sit in the front seat to avoid this, so my husband or I always got the backseat anyway. As long as you don't push yourself, it could actually do you good to get away and enjoy yourselves.
I had the same experience (SM)
I have no cellulite anymore either. I went from 235.5 to 112 pounds. I do have a little loose skin on my belly and thighs, but it looks like I had 3 big kids (which I did-my 10 pounder was my biggest). I'm 27, so my skin is a little forgiving still, but the cellulite is gone.

I also had my fair amount of cellulite. It can go away.
Very very little experience
I think the boss must be paying the MT very low and expecting me to pick up the slack and basically retype a lot of it. I'm not happy.
This latest person... she worked a little in a doc's office. No real specialty. She is making terrible errors. It's dangerous. What's worse... the boss can't fix the errors. I really have to do it all. The boss is not all that experienced. Only in the sense of being a business person.
It has been my experience...
that dealing with foreign people (NOT ALL...but some) is extremely difficult.  Our favorite Chinese restaurant for example, call in to place an order and after every selection, she says "that all???" Uh no...more ordering..."that all???"  My husband said something to her once about it, like asking her to stop doing that, and she said "we very, very busy, hurry up with your order...no time to think about it....what you want?"  UHHH......
I can tell you that from my experience sm
it is possible. My experience may be different from most others, but I have seen it happen and end happily. My father divorced my mother when I was 11. I wasn't happy about the divorce (what child would be) but even as a young adult I saw it was for the best. A year later he married my step-mother and they will celebrate 29 years in Sept. They are still incredibly happy. There were many hard times (my older brother and I went to live with them 6 weeks after they married and she had a 5yr old son from her first marriage)and times when I think they almost wanted to just give up, but they didn't and I for one am happy they are still together.
Here's some of my own experience . . .
Your comment about his reading your mind after 10 years caught my attention. I've been married for 23 years, and have known my husband for 27.
Also, I'm the youngest of 7 and the only girl in my family. I have three sons, and I'm an assistant scoutmaster with a boy scout troop. I've lived all my life in a circle of males. Don't ever expect them to read your mind. I know there are plenty of men who are sensitive and can anticipate the feelings of others. In a very wide generalization, well... most men aren't that good at it. They actually appreciate it when you clearly state what you want.
My other words of wisdom about relationships with men... the silent treatment is useless. Don't bother. It's just a respite from arguing for most of them. Speak up. Try to stay calm when you do. (This is MY problem! I'm very passionate when I argue!)
I'm sorry you had such a bad time. Maybe it's time to sit down and have a good talk together about things. Better yet, maybe some counseling would help. In the heat of an argument, alls sorts of things are said. Maybe we mean them when we say them, but later, in calmer moments with hindsight, we wish they were unsaid. Establish goals with your husband, and then move forward together. Get help doing this, if you need it.
My experience
I was allowed to do whatever I wanted when I went to college (I'm only 25 so we're not talking THAT long ago ) as long as I got good grades (my mom was helping pay for college). However, I also had a full time job and went to school full time, had my own car financed by myself, and had my own apartment that I paid for. BIG difference. If my mother had been financing my car with the title in her name, I would understand her wanting to have control over what I did with it. Would I have liked it at 18, no, but I feel that it is the right way to do things. If he wrecks in that car - guess who foots the bill, as I'm sure you know. However, I would ask, does he now or did he ever want to work to pay for a car, etc. and you told him no? If so, I could see how he would get angry. I was allowed to work even in high school as long as my grades were good. And I was allowed to go out with friends as long as I went to work and the grades were good. It taught me how to be responsible come college time.
