Two of my friends had very similar symptoms and on

the second week they developed severe nausea. Both of them use different doctors, but both of those doctors told them to cut back the dose. I would recommend they contact their physician and see what they can do.

Similar symptoms in the past
I went to my primary care, and they said I had anxiety/panic issues caused mainly by stress. I got a mood stabilizer and took it for about six months with some minimal side effects, and have not had the problem since until recently, about 10 years later. I do really feel for you, as I remember at one point sitting there thinking I had completely lost my mind. Ask your PCP about depression/anxiety/stress issues, and see if that isn't something that should be considered. Good luck!
Agree - Yes I had similar symptoms. Had a partially herniated disk
of course I had every test known to man run before they figured that out. You would think it would have been obvious to them but oh well.
When you have friends - it's good. But when you don't have friends it's

REALLY GOOD!!!

I swear, I have this one friend who just gets mad at me stupid stuff.  I told her a few weeks ago that I could probably go out this sat. but now I can't make it (just dinner). So, I emailed her and told her I can't go. She's upset.  Thinks I should not have made plans in the first place. Well, things come up.

Why are people (women) so catty? Immature?

Are there any women out there who can: Forgive, understand, not get offended because I am not perfect? If so, I'd like to meet you.  I highly doubt she exists though.

The symptoms you have go along with
hypothyroidism. Hyperthyroidism is usually loss of weight (don’t we wish) and if you have seen the "bug-eyed" look of some people, this can go along with the hyperthyroidism. In hypothyroidism metabolism runs slow- hyperthyroidism it speeds up. I have had exhausation. I told my physician I wanted to be checked for thyroid, knowing I had the classic symptoms years ago- that being extremely dry skin, so cold could not get warm- in my house sitting under blankets to work, terrible itching (I guess from the extreme dry skin)and the loss of hair and that weight issue again. I asked my endocrinologist if my thyroid was playing out and he told me already gone. I have been on synthroid but with the acute hair loss, am calling Monday for appointment to try to get on the Armour thyroid as the person above told me. I have had to resort to wigs lately because of the excessive hair loss- am just going to do a Britany and be finished with it!! Good luck with yours but thyroid disease left untreated can certainly be dangerous, in fact some can be fatal, not to fool around with it you think might be a problem with you.
Symptoms
My first symptom started last August when I began itching all over my body with no rash or hives (itched to the point of causing bruising to my upper chest area), then about a week later it began with having a sore bottom (as if I had been doing squats the day before - hurt to sit, then my legs felt like jello and then increasingly began to be painful, then aching all over as if I had fever, yet I did not, then there was the extreme exhaustion (and I knew I was not that out of shape)...even the slightest activity would cause me to be tired and I could sleep all day so it seemed, so after a battery of blood tests for MS, lupus, Lyme, West Nile, vitamin deficiencies, etc all of which were normal, my doctor had me log my symptoms for 3 months on a calendar, and I went back to see him in January by which time I was beginning to experience numbness and tingling in my legs/feet (as if they were asleep)..so my doctor then ordered MRI of the brain and spine x-rays all of which were normal so he said he was sure I had fibro, but could not diagnose it so referred me to a rheumatologist - who did more test and confirmed the diagnosis of fibromyalgia.  I am now taking 1500 mg of Relafen, 100 mg of Tramadol every 4 hours p.r.n. pain, a muscle relaxer at bedtime, 600 mg of Neurontin at bedtime and 100 mg of Zoloft - I walk 30 minutes a day and do light stretching exercises every other day....My symptoms do seem to flare up around my cycle each month - I am finally feeling better after a 2 week flare of feeling like being ran over by a big truck...Good luck to you in your search for answers and if your mother has fibro then more than likely you do too, my rheumotologist said that sometimes it can be genetic.
Please tell me what the symptoms were you had
My mother had pleurisy once, remember she had to quit a job at Dupont, good job, in the 50s. I do not know much about this, but symptoms in all ribs, all around? Thanks for the information.
I have had those symptoms...sm
I got really sick a few years back and had the same symptoms you do. Do you feel really drained like no energy? Sometimes I to would feel like I was going to pass out. I went to the doctor, ER, and I too thought is was blood sugar but when I would take it it wouldn't be low. To make a long story short months later I finally go to a doctor who tells me what is wrong: I have Epstein Barr virus or Mono. It took 1-1/2 years to get over. Did blood work and tested for it and I had it. I will always carry it even when I am not sick but if my immune system gets weakened then it flares up. Get some extensive blood work done. Good luck and hope you feel better.
Sounds like all my symptoms.
I went from doctor to doctor and had 2 years' worth of appointments and tests. Turns out I have a rare kidney disease. Normal urine tests didn't detect it, though, it finally showed up as protein loss in a 24-hour collection.

I also had just moved into a new house, and I kept thinking maybe it was mold or something in the house that was getting me.

If your ankles are swelling up to your thighs, and you can't stay awake, and everything aches...maybe look toward kidneys. If fine, at least you'll have ruled something else out!!
I know! I had horrible symptoms (sm)
And kept being told it might just be depression - I finally took the *&* antidepressants just to cope with not being diagnosed! It didn't help my illness but it helped me deal with it. Eventually they did an MRI of my brain and found pinpoint lesions all over it but never could tell me what they were from. I took antidepressants and sleep med and used lots of alternative remedies and juiced and ate as healthy and pure as possible for a year and finally got fairly well but still have a few leftover symptoms (ear fluttering, occasional muscle twitches) that will probably never go away. One doctor even suggested that I go to a massage therapist because some people would get depressed over not having enough "touch" in their lives - I had two children who hugged me all day and my husband and I were very "active."
Sounds like same symptoms

I would rub and press on it and it would let up, then move to a different place and start back up.  On the day I sought treatment it was constant and going at several places in my head at once, and it was just too distracting to work because it was scaring me and I just wanted it to stop!

Good luck to him.

thank you - do my symptoms sound like ADD to you? (sm)
I went to a teacher conference recently and noticed that my son's desk had papers hanging out all over the place - just like mine used to be! It kind of struck me at that moment that maybe I should try to do something about this. He is very intelligent, but very disorganized, forgets to turn in homework, forgets to bring books needed for his homework, etc. I lose things, forget to pay bills, etc.
Thanks - do my symptoms sound at all like yours? (sm)
I also have many unfinished projects!
Do you have any GERD symptoms during the day?...
I started having problems with disrupted sleep last year, then shortly after that started having mild dysphagia to bread-y foods.  Went to the Dr., who started me on pantoprazole, and ever since then I have not had many awakenings.  BTW, I did not have heartburn but was still diagnosed with GERD.
Weird symptoms....sm
My sister-in-law went to the ER tonight.  Her symptoms were numbness all over her body, nausea, dizziness, and shortness of breath.  She started antibiotics Friday evening.  These symptoms started tonight.  I thought it may be the anitbiotics.  Some kind of adverse reaction.  She has a pilonidal cyst so they put her on Sulfa antibiotics.  Well when she went to the ER they said they didn't believe it was antibiotics but a panic attack.  She said she has never had a panic attack in her life.  How weird.  I just wonder if it could be the anitbiotics even with no rash.  I would hate for it to be the anitbiotics and her keep taking it and get worse.
What are your symptoms with the thyroid?
I have also so wondering about you.
could be gallbladder symptoms too...nm
nm
can you give some symptoms of your fibroid? sm
i think i have some and have a horrible, horrible time but wasn't certain of symptoms and no benes yet......
if you mind me asking, what were the symptoms you started out with?
My mother has fibromyalgia also and she thinks that I have it to...I hurt/ache somewhere in my body almost every day and now I am having problems with my knees for no reason at all...just wondering what your symptoms were when you were diagnosed?
those symptoms sounds just like where i have pain...
neck, shoulders, lower back and knees...i first started having really bad pain in my ankles after i had my daughter 6 months ago...like my tendons were really stiff...the knee thing just started around December for no reason...started with one knee, then the other...some days they don't hurt at all...other days they are very painful...my hubby will try to rub my shoulders and it is so painful, and he will poke me in the ribs, which also hurts...do i say to my doctor i think i have fibromyalgia or just explain my symptoms?
...bruising and definitely see someone if symptoms progress. nm
s
Anyone here with thyroid problems or MS symptoms?
I have been having a cluster of very odd symptoms starting a few months ago that include: Heart palpitations, internal vibration/tremor, fine tremor in hands, eye pain, blurred vision, hives, balance problems, dizziness, muscle twitching, hot flashes, and more. These symptoms come and go. One day I'm fine, the next day BAM! I have had blood tests so far...doc thinks it's anxiety. I will be seeing my doc tomorrow to "go over the tests" so he can again tell me it's anxiety. I wonder if anyone else out there has these symptoms that just come on all of a sudden.

TIA
My mom had those symptoms yesterday, turned out to be (sm)
Her blood pressure, it was 147/100 when we checked it about 20 minutes after her sx started. She is on meds but is still having a hard time keeping it controlled.

Another thought, again, based on my mom's issues: She very similar symptoms that kept getting worse and ended up needing a pacemaker.

So, anyway, your original thought about BP might be the angle to check on next.
Sounds like classic OCD symptoms....
Good luck...OCD sucks :-(
Any other symptoms? Abdominal pain?

Perhaps an imperforate hymen with hematocolpos?

can you elaborate more on symptoms other than hair loss? sm
i get confused with hypo and hyper. my last results were below normal limits, barely - not enough for doc to give Rx. i feel i have lots of symptoms though but symptoms are almost the same for both from what i find. i am always "exhausted", insomnia, extreme hair loss, can't lose weight.
Anyone ever have very frequent urination but no other symptoms. What a pain this is. nm
:
And get thee to a doctor - you have classic symptoms sm
of DEPRESSION. Feeling weighed down, exhausted, too tired, not enjoying life and activities of daily living - you may need some chemical intervention to perk up. Plus get outside 30 minutes every day for some natural sunlight. TAKE SOME "ME TIME" - You need it. Life is short and why, oh why, be miserable in the short time that you have?
A lotta hype behind it, and apparently the symptoms are
Tamiflu, etc. are apparently quite effective in fighting it. People always die during a flu outbreak, usually not of the virus itself, but of complications. High death rate in Mexico probably has a lot to do with poverty and lack of health care for so many. I think the mask-thing is a little extreme, especially outdoors, but it's always a good idea to wash your hands often and carry those alcohol-based wipes. I use those after using an ATM machine, or going to the supermarket, shaking hands with people, etc. Probably a good idea after handling money, as well.

Yesterday I got this forwarded, totally panicky email from someone I know regarding stockpiling food & supplies, etc., as if it were the end of the world.
That's pretty overboard, if you ask me. But then again, some people tend to react that way to just about anything on the news.

I had a similar but now use sm
Wolfgang Puck's open face grill, buy on HSN.com.  1200 watts, get to 550 degrees.  You can actually GRILL a hamburger or steak.  The Foreman ones only kind of steam food, very inadequate.
Something similar here sm
I also live in a small town and we have many Indian docs and they usually bring relatives here and to run hotels and motels they have purchased. I know of one family that did this 25 years ago. A Comfort Inn right up the road from us is owned/operated by an Indian family that live in our neighborhood. Truely some of the nicest people I have ever met.
OMG! I was going to say something similar... sm

Same timeframe and same team, but off by 2 years in age.   Unfortunately, my brother was home from Penn State and I gave him my Game 6 ticket.  After all these years, I still slap myself on the forehead when I think about that.  I was in Philly with the other million or so revelers the next day, though!

I'm doing something similar..
I live in Florida also and am planning a little weekend gettaway for myself. I know it sounds weird, but this way there will be no computer and absolutely no way I can be conned into working. I picked a fairly cheap little resort place that is right on the beach. It's not very fancy, but it has a kitchen. I want to wake up and hear the water and see the sunset at night. I did spend a little more to get a place that had more of a private beach so it would be a little quieter. Just think about the things you want to do and what is more important and then decide. Will you be at the beach more, or golfing more? Do you want more peace and quiet? Or do you want a place where kids can run around - if so golf course probably not a good idea.

Anyway, whichever you choose, have a great time!
I might have something similar
but do not really know your symptoms well. I sleep on elevated pillows (and people also told to elevate the head of their bed with reflux), know which foods bring on this such as coffee, chocolate, spicy, white rice for me, and some cereals but 1 thing I will say, the gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms are not to be taken lightly. An ongoing problem with this can cause esophageal cancer, Barrett's esophagus is a precursor to this. I would do any and all I could to make sure this is under control.
I went through something similar...
Except not on me, on my son, who I think was like 4 or 5 at the time.  They wanted to put a white filling in a baby tooth, and make me pay the extra for it. So glad I didn't let them, found another dentist who put in a silver one and shortly thereafter, the tooth came out. So sorry this happened to you, but unfortunately you'll probably do more harm than good by not paying the full amount, cause they will try to ruin your credit.
maybe similar
i keep getting toe pains in one that is almost crampy-like, and really slows my steppin'. it comes and goes. I'm just afraid its arthritis, but haven't been checked...is yours crampy? would like to know if you get it figured out.
I tried something similar with my cat.
I just wanted her to stay on the deck though She did really good for about a year and then slowly stated creeping down the stairs and eventually started jumping over the side to go on a bigger adventure. Going over the side was when we had to stop letting her go out because she was so quick about it. At first we used a harness and leash and then a water bottle and would squirt her when she came to the edge and that worked very well. We just had to be out with her.

I have also seen cat runs in magazines before. They are long tubular shaped cages or enclosures (not always metal) and some you can even put up to window height so you can leave the window open or add a door so they can go freely when they like. I am not certain where I have seen it but it was one of those magazines that are full of stuff that no one really needs but make great Christmas/Birthday presents for people who have everything. lol I'm sure you could find them on the internet somewhere.
I actually have one similar to this sm
I live on my own. My house is not too big, only about 1100 sq ft. Truth is, I live in my bedroom and my livingroom, where I work. I use the kitchen too, of course. I don't use all of it all the time. My house is well insulated and the furnace runs about 4 times a hour in the dead of winter. I am heating a whole house I don't use. The only place I need warm is around my desk so my hands don't freeze up. I can't stand really bulky clothing either, though I do dress warmly. I have a space heater by the desk. It keeps the whole livingroom warmer, as a fact, but not the whole house. I keep the thermostat on the furnace kinda low.

Now, when I have company, or when it is my day off, I have a space heater with fake flame. It has a blower and blows heat into the room. It is pretty and really puts out heat. If I run that for the entire evening, the furnace doesn't run at all, even though the thermostat is 20 feet from the heater, because the room is toasty. It is electric heater versus gas furnace. The end result was that gas cost me an average of $75 a month versus $110 the year before. The electric bill went up, but not more than $20 a month. The net savings are marginal at best. The comfort increased, however.

Now, I am a little crazy sometimes, I admit it. I bought a CD with fireplace sounds. I play it as a loop (75 minutes long) when I run the *fireplace* and sound makes it feel warmer! I run the sound low enough that the TV or stereo is audible, but you'd be surprised what the sounds effects do for added warmth. I got laughed at, until I had company...
I just went thru something similar - sm
I was the one back in late August and then back on Oct. 13 or so----I had racked up a ton of debt on his and my credit cards which he knew nothing about. I finally confessed to him, he reacted pretty well considering the bomb I dropped on him. He does not want to divorce over it thank God but some amazing miracle. Obviosly your situation is a bit more complex. My DH is not that controlling. I was/am the one to get the mail, and would decide what he would see or not see, though he had no scruples about reading my mail, he would get upset if I ever read anything personal sent to him. As I know it is nothing to get bent about I let that one go. He has never cheated and even confirmed that when I confessed my deceit and financial infidelity to him. Luckily he still loves me enough to keep it together. He is trying a little more, though he has backed off doing a few things he used to around the house, I have taken on more responsibility around here, the price I have to pay I guess. I did 85% of it before, now, 95% (he used to cook dinner....now it looks like I get the pleasure of doing it from now on as he has not done it once since the 13th. Granted any reference to buying anyting is , we cannot afford it....which we can, but yes things are going to be a bit tight for the next five years, but we will manage. I have not done it yet, but Monday going to get the wheels rolling and do CCCS for my debts. His will be taken care of soon as we are selling off a bunch of mutual funds from the 401K (loan) so no penalties though with the economy we will have to sell more than we would have a few months ago which stinks. ---He is willing to economize now that he knows there is an issue though (he makes about 4x what I do). You will have to bit the bullet and confess as well. It is not easy. I wrote him a note and then left the house for a short while, then came back and we talked it all out. I figured my marriage would be over, but I think for the kids and still some feelings for me he wants to keep it all together. We have a good life together for the most part and he knows that. We do things together as a family, still have enjoyable sex once a week (took him 9 days after my confession), and are in tune with each other and the kids. Considering it he has been so good after it , you never know your husband might surprise you like mine did. He has not really made any comments for a week now, which is amazing in itself. My DH generally is the type of guy who blames everyone else for his mistakes and takes no responsibility for anything, so that is why it was such a shock that he is handling this all so well. Generally he acts like a 3-y/o and holds grudges. So it is possible your husband can be a standup guy. I guess it will depend on how much he cares for you, keeping the marriage together and not becoming a part-time dad or having to give you the house or a ton of money.....I am sure that all factored in in my situation. All I said was that no one would win in a divorce. He has been divorced before so I know he does not wnat to go thru that again, sees it as personal failure. But I feel so much better for telling him, a huge weight has been lifted. I still have a lot to get thru but the worst is over. I know my streess is still up there some, but I know longer have to worry about him finding out, etc. So you need to formulate a plan, maybe set aside some ready cash, and and tell him what is going on. You can email me if you want. I hope it all works out for you.
Very similar

to the one my family and I make:

1 bag of hashbrowns

1 can cream of chicken soup
2 sticks butter
salt and pepper
2 cups shredded Velveeta cheese
1 sleeve crushed Ritz crackers

Melt 1 stick of butter in the casserole dish. Mix everything together except Ritz crackers and 1 stick of butter.  Spread in casserole dish.

Mix crushed Ritz crackers with 1 stick melted butter and sprinkle over top.

Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

It is a great side dish, goes with anything.

We did something similar
but it was a local theater gift card instead of the netflix. I didn't know netflix did such a thing. That's a great idea.

A smore's kit is nice to make or homemade marshmellows (they are not that difficult to make as most people think) with homemade hot chocolate mix and some cute mugs.

Also made fleece throws for everyone for xmas one year. YOu can get the no-sew fleece and just cut a fringe around the edge to finish it.

Offer up a free baby sitting night to the parents, all you need is a card. Tuck it in the tree with their name on it.

If there is something special that you make that someone likes you can make up a basket with many of the ingredients and include the recipe card. If it is cookies or something nonperishable you can include a finished version in the basket.
Or a little bit of a different but similar take
try 1 jar of chili sauce and jellied cranberry sauce with a squeeze of lemon juice. sounds similar to the above receipe but this is also wonderful!
Something similar
I agree with most others on this post.

My situation was a little different but also similar. My husband had been married before and had a child. He told me up front he would NEVER get married again. I told him I was not ready to marry and be a "mom." But after 3 years I changed my mind. I needed the committment, the security, and yes the old fashioned man to take care of me feeling. I told him that by 5 years together I wanted to be married, period. I started making the plans for marriage and it was a "now or never" decision and he knew that.

5 years is a long time to be in a non-committed relationship, not to mention your 10. I think you need to tell him how you feel once and for all and lay it out there. I like the idea another poster had to "date" for a while, him and this other man, and anyone else you want, and to have time to yourself. Don't let him just come over when he is lonely and needs you...maybe he needs to feel the loneliness you have felt for so long. It takes a while to change habits like picking up dirty laundry and rinsing off dishes...NOT hanging out with friends, staying out all night, etc. That is attitude and what you want to do. I know this isn't what you want to hear but you can't love someone for a lifetime if they don't love you back. Which is what this situation sounds like to me. Yes men are selfish and inconsiderate at times, but this sounds like more.

And just for the record, my husband and I started as friends. I am a bit younger than him, not ready to settle down, not wanting to marry someone married before or with a child...but our friendship just went towards love on its own. Given the chance, your friendship with this other man may go the same way. It sounds like you have just halted it where it is as a friendship and wouldn't allow it to go into love at this time if that was where it was leading.

Good luck to you. Take a day and watch "You've got mail." There's a good lonely love story of enemies, friends, and love evolving.
Friends of Our's..

are separating and might end up divorced uggg.

They are the couple that we went on our summer vacation with. They have no kids luckily.

SHE is unhappy and has been since June I guess. He has been talking to hubby about it all on MSN Messenger and asking for advice. It has to do with her Religion, she goes to the church where they meet in homes and she wears skirts. I can't think of what she calls it but he isn't into that Religion and refuses to go to church with her and that is causing problems.

Anyway, she won't be happy unless she finds a guy in her church, that way, they will go together, ya know?

I feel bad for them but it might be for the best I don't know.

DH saw it with friends and they all
loved it. He reports it is very good and very gory. Critics hated it, but it is raking in the money because fans love it. It is more of a guy movie, but that doesn't mean a lot of us gals won't like it too. DH and his friends all researched the subject before going, they were that excited.
ooh, I never said he and I were friends...

I tried being *friends* with him for about 8-9 years after but he was never my friend (nor his own friend) - but with passive-aggressives - if they don't want to change, forget about them *cooperating* - WE EVEN DID THERAPY prior to the divorce but it was evident to the therapist that he was lying and playing games.....power tripping games too.

No, what I meant is he is in a better place today in HIS life, kids are doing their thing and communicating with both parents, and my life is great because I'm FREE....for me, it's all about freedom and having nobody trying to *control* me.

Good luck in your choices, they are not easy choices by any stretch of the imagination....

Where are her friends?
This young woman is in pain and is hurting. She needs help. Where are her friends? Instead of demonizing her, her mother, K-Fed, father - is he in the picture - former pastor, someone should be with her and get her to go into intensive private therapy. The girl is melting down in front of the world and no one is trying to help her.

I don't condone illegal drug use or misuse of legal drugs, but I really don't care if her problems were caused by drugs or something else. She is a human being in pain and needs help, not ridicule or judgment.

Where are Nicole, Paris, Lindsay, all the blondettes were ready to party with her in order to get their own picture in the tabloids? Where are the publicity agents, talent agents, etc., who made thousands of dollars off Britney's career? Someone needs to step up to the plate for her.
