Thanks for your advice. I did look up Dave Ramsey and he is excellent. I have read some by Suze Orman, as well, and she has some good advice.

I work a FT and PT job to my husband's PT job, which is not very reliable, so I feel like I am always working and he has a hard time. I don't mind being the one who makes more, just want something more left over than what we are able to save, if I am going to work this much. He is not lazy, but like you said, I don't think he realizes how much it takes to get everything paid. We both want to get things paid down, but he takes more risks than I do.
