that they sent you home with fever and so much pain.

Never hesitate to go to the ER when you are in severe pain and have fever.

Better safe than sorry.

Especially if one THINKS having a heart attack or stroke.

Because here 'time is of the essence.'

So glad you asked this, have wondered the same thing. nm

Glad she got it back. Nm
:-)
I'm so glad they believed you and took it back! NM

Glad she got her jacket back.

I'm so glad they let her back in school!

Your poor daughter!  I hope they don't change the rules on pepper spray.  I think students should have a right to carry that to protect themselves!  I don't see it as a weapon.  It's not like a gun or a knife that could kill someone - it's just for self-defense, which teenage girls need, unfortunately.  Good job fighting for your daughter and sticking up for her!

As far as the people who made the rude, ignorant comments to you, I don't think people like that even read entire posts, and if they do they don't comprehend them!  It seems like some people just pick one thing out of a post and try to say you're wrong when it's obvious they don't even know what they're talking about.  So annoying!  Whoever said the rude things is probably someone who is lonely and ran out of real-life people to pick on (who would put up with them for long?), so they must try to irritate people online, so try not to let them bother you too much (even though it would probably bother me too if it was my post!)

All right, Cyndiee, glad that you are back.
But what can I say?
I hate drugs and medicaments and stay away from them as long as I can, maybe therefore I am so healthy and because I have good genes.

I admit there are diseases which necessitate medicaments, but there are also people who just swallow everything that comes into their hands, without questioning it. The doctors encourage them in doing so.

Sometimes I type reports (mostly AVR) where the doctors prescribe up to OVER 10 medicaments to a patient, this is just uncomprehendable to me when I think of all the possible side effects, interactions and the effect on the liver and kidneys, etc...I feel sick to my stomach. Can this really be good, in any way?

Generally I do not trust doctors much. They are all more or less quick-fixer, because that is actually what the patient expects from them, a 'quickfix'.

But if medicaments which offer a quickfix in the short run and feel good at the moment, are also good in the long run, is very questionable.

Doctors are here to prescribe medicaments and they are encouraged to do so by the pharmaceutical companies. The first to take drugs which are new to the market and released by the FDA for 'studies', are always the guinea pigs, we have seen this with HRT, antidepressants, especially Prozac etc...

I am fiercely anti-medicaments, as already said, the only medicament I trust is aspirin and I take also supplements, I believe in those.

Patients should ask the doctor when they get a medicament prescribed, 'Doctor, do I reallyy need this?'

I have great respect for surgeons, dentist and gynecologists who deliver babies, not so much for other things, like prescribing hormones and advice on menopause etc....
there is still a lot of 'guessing' and 'experimenting' going on.

Glad to see you back, Jan.
Glad you're back, even if a bit damaged! ;) nm

UUHHH, glad you are back Hayseed? LOL
you really have been missed!
That brings back unpleasant memories. Glad that's over with. nm

I have wondered.....
I am assuming that govt is using the same checking account you wrote a check to them from. I wonder what will happen if you've closed down the checking account for some reason. Seems like a lot of red tape for the IRS (is that an oxy-moron?). Then funds are returned to IRS and they have to cut check? Seems like it would be easier for checks to be cut for everyone on same day and mailed out. oh well....just something I thought of as I was reading the posts. With us, our stimulus will cover the checks we just wrote to them for last years taxes and this quarters taxes. Kind of makes you feel like your not getting anything....gee what a deal. HA HA. Okay, its late and I'm a bit loopy.

The tampon thing is just gross. I have seen stuff in my magazines using those to make crafts. I'm sorry, but there is no way I would make a craft with something like that. lol
Often wondered that myself.

I always wondered about that...thanks!!!
I've often wondered if the growth hormones added to dairy products could possibly be absorbed into the human system and be contributing not only to the precocious puberty you mention, but also to the obesity epidemic amongst children (of course, I realize the sedentary activities such as gaming also contribute to this problem).

I avoided any dairy products with that growth hormone when my daughter was younger and bought organic instead just in case.

Thanks for the info, DB!!!
I often wondered too.
Years ago my niece got a small bird on her stomach. The tattoo artist (I use that term loosely) asked her if she planned on getting pregnant and, if so, to think about placing the tattoo somewhere else. She went ahead and got it on her stomach. Three children later, it looks like a vulture spread out on multiple branches (those would be the stretch marks).

I would actually be a bit faster if a little tipsy (as more relaxed), but I'm afraid I would end up too drowsy after a bit.

would help with PMS symptoms.  I even thought about exaggerating a few of the physical symptoms, if needed to get one.  I do have back pain to the point of seeing a chiropractor.  The cramping isn't too bad and I don't have a heavy/long cycle.  I just have severe PMS.  Thanks for your input.

good for you, wondered how you

I have wondered if I have fibro too...sm
I have been soo tired too. I know tiredness goes along with fibro so I wondered. I don't know.
I have always kind of wondered if they ...sm
were really his because the children look 100% white to me. I mean, I know, it is possible I guess to have all white features. It is just I haven't seen a mixed child myself who didn't at least have a tanned skin who was of mixed race. I had a sneaking suspicion that he wanted 100% white children seeing as how he obviously wanted to be white himself. I mean, he did something to his skin to lighten it, and it was lighter than some white people's skin. So I can see him not wanting a child with dark or even slightly dark skin as a lot of mixed children have. If he wasn't comfortable himself having dark skin then do you think he wanted them to have dark skin? I don't. I could be wrong, but I have always suspected they weren't really his by blood. Of course, he was still their father whether they were his biologically or not. He is the only dad they knew. So he was the father, yes, but biologically, I don't know.
Hmmm, wondered why they had the cap on that baby
in the Bahamas? Did anyone else notice that? Baby mama drama continues.
Dang, I wondered why it hurt so much
sharper scissors, huh?
I had wondered if it was bec his joints are sore (sm)
That is interesting. He does seem arthritic these days but I thought it was just from him being so old. I had wondered if he was chewing his paw (the top of his paw, not the pad) because his joints hurt. I feel so bad for our poor pets who can't tell us what is wrong. I guess he will have to go to the vet (whether he likes it or not!)LOL
I also wondered why she mentioned biracial
it sounds racist to me to tell you the truth. Instead of saying children, why separate them? Oh by the way, I don't live in Chicago, live in the south, have biracial child, grown now and she told me NEVER had a problem in school, if anything she always told me had the best of both worlds! She has a wide mixture of all races in her friends from Caucasian to Asian. I as well as she take people for how they act, not a certain color.
Have often wondered why they take my picture at such an angle (sm)
to make me look like I have a major second chin. WHen I look in the mirror I think I am holding my head tilted back and it doesn't show to me as much. (The glory of looking through trifocal lenses I suppose.)

If you are happy with yourself and healthy, don't stress about it. I think we spend too much of our time obsessed over our appearance anyway.

P.S. this came from a fat and sassy grandma, so take it for what it is worth.
I agree with you. I just wondered if all the folks
speaking out in defense of the bible being there would feel the same if it was another religious document that was not in line with their beliefs.

Out of curiosity, do they have bibles in public school libraries? I honestly don't know.
I wondered about that as she is going to costa rica for
several weeks this summer, plus cheerleading camp, plus "regular" summer camp. We got her an IPOD last year so maybe a gift card in her stocking to download some more music would be okay?
Oh, I wondered when our aetheist friend would arrive.

Worried, horrific rib pain (I think) and wondered
if anyone else has ever had this, what did it turn out to be. I was diagnosed with fibro but this is really unbearable. Any thoughts?
I could have written your post. I've wondered too.

Totally agree and I've always wondered...sm

HOW the H**L do they get away with it when they obviously are NOT the majority?!!?? I don't get it.  And if they have "rights" to have things their way, what about OUR rights to have it OUR way???  I've just been baffled and dumbfounded about this.  Especially the whole Christmas thing.  It seems to me, that if 99% of the people WANT Christmas parties or Halloween parties or whatever then they should have them.  It would then be the parents right to keep their child home from school on the days of the parties they do not believe in.   The same goes with the Pledge of Allegiance.  If you don't believe, don't participate.  Don't take away everyone else's right to have it!  I also don't understand how these people can live with themselves.  They have to know they are the minority, yet they took away our rights, not to mention in some cases, many, many, many years worth of history!  I'm talking about everything, not just the school parties and such but things like taking God out of the courts, the Pledge of Allegiance from schools, etc.

Can you imagine if we did our presidential elections the same way?  The winner being the one with the fewer votes just because some p*ss head was a crybaby and couldn't deal with not having his own way.  To me all of it is just a DUH! situation or as Carlos Mencias says it "dee dee dee!"  and shame on the courts/government or whoever lets these idiots get away with it!!!!  MY rights have been taken away because of a FEW a**holes that apparently weren't getting any satisfaction at home so had to get their jollies off on something else!

Same goes with banning books from libraries, shows from tv, etc.  If you don't like it, don't buy it, don't watch it, don't look at it!  DUH!  I don't like onions but I'm not sueing grocery stores because they sell them and having them banned from the shelves!  DUH! DUH! DUH! FREAKIN' DUH!!!!

And WHY the H*ll are WE, the majority, not putting up the same fight the p*sshead, friggin crybabies did to get these things back??? Instead we sit back and p*ss and moan and cry about it. (and go off on boards like I am right now, lol)

Struck a chord, sorry.  It's been building for a very long time.

Wow...Glad your not my mom!

Life is way to short.  I had a stepmother like you.  Once I lost my mittens and it was freezing outside and I had to walk.  This wench actually got in her car, found me on my way to school in a snow storm and took the mismtached pair that I had found in a box.  She was an awful woman and I never saw her again after I was 16 and left the house.  I hope she has as miserable a life now as she deserves.  Don't be a petty witch with your children.  They will resent you in the end, may be even slash your perfect tires....

Glad to help!
I never really watched Frasier. I know, my loss from what I hear. Sounds very funny! Will have to start watching the reruns :)
glad i'm not you
Well aren't you just a ray of sunshine and full of compassion. It's not always about the almighty dollar. You get what you give in life and that includes taking care of ALL of God's creatures. You have no heart.
Glad I did it

I never went to the ER (I have to be almost dead before I go), so I suffered about 4 episodes before I went to the doctor.  I didn't know what it was.  Each attack got worse.  After the last one, which was horribly painful, I went to the doctor, and didn't hesitate to get surgery done.  I had a "rock garden", the tech called it.  It was PACKED with stones!  I had to wait almost 2 months.  I was so afraid to eat I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks!  No exercise either!  THAT was easy! Having never been in a hospital before as a patient, nor even having had any kind of procedure, the anticipation of the surgery was MUCH worse than the procedure.  But I was a healthy person with no previous surgeries.  I had almost no pain after, and took it easy.  I went back to work after 3 days.  I don't know what the risk would be with your recent surgery.  It's something to talk out FULLY with your doctor.

You'll make the right decision.
