Sorry to hear of your troubles. Wanted to say I have dental problems too and am cavity prone still as an adult. May be partly genetic, may be bruxism (teeth grinding) which is usually from stress, may be acid reflux, may be dry mouth from medications, a lot of different things could contribute to this. Of course I take care of my teeth like everyone else but I still get cavities. I was told I should brush my teeth every single time I have sugar since I am prone to cavities which is just not possible so I've tried to eliminate some of the sugar in my diet. I have a night guard to stop the grinding. And I have to drink more water for the dry mouth. I can't tell you how aggravating it is for me to have people right away think I don't go to the dentist or take care of my teeth! It is just the opposite. Good luck to you and your granddaughter. And God bless.
