Well, as far as the cat goes

one showed up stray about a month ago and I started letting it in the house especially now that it is cold out side.  This cat was obviously someones pet.  She is gentle and beautiful.  As far as being a mouser, she has not proven herself yet.  I do know there was a mouse running around the stove and she was eyeing it. 

I too thought about want ads, Craigs list but worried about buying another rat infested stove.   

I went to the local furniture store and he did not have anything in stock but we looked at the Lowes website together and he said he can meet or beat Lowes. I asked about a payment plan and he said I can either apply for a credit card from him or I can put 10% down and pay out the rest when I can at no interest and once it is paid in full, it is mine.  I may go that route unless H wants to go wtih what the below poster suggested.
