Yes, walking my dogs about 4 x a week.

They drive me nuts any day they don't get their walk. It's almost easier to just give in and walk them, and we all feel much better. A good one is closer to 3 miles I think. I am fortunate that so many new neighborhoods have been built around me, although it does mean the dirt roads/woods are disappearing, but those were too muddy a lot, so it's a tradeoff. I've lost 5 lbs since getting the new dog, CJ. He likes a faster pace.

I wish we could all go the week of the graduation but their graduations are always a week earlier th
ours. So actually all three of my kids are still in school this week while all of hers will already be out. My youngest is actually missing school to go but my two older kids have finals so they can't go at all that week.

Thank you. I guess I'm just trying to find a nice way to say it without causing friction and keeping the peace.

My DH is your typical male, just deal with it when the time comes whereas I want to take care of things right away without hurting anyone's feelings.
Shelties or Australian Sheep Dogs are great family dogs. rm
a
Me? I'm a walking commercial for them! LOL.
Am still amazed at how well they clean!  Also have a microfiber mop. I used to get on my hands and knees and scrub my floors, but after I found this mop, that's all I use!  I have so many of these cloths around my house because I just don't want to be without them!  Have given them to my DILs and my friends, and they love them too.  I can just go on and on about them.  I know it's crazy, but after all the years of scrubbing and hands that get cracked and dried from chemicals, I just can't say enough about them.
I'm walking for babies!

Hello everybody!

I posted this before but i wanted to repost and explain some things. First of all, i never ever receive any of the money when you donate it goes straight to the Walk America people. I just thought this was for a really good cause and thought maybe some of you would want to be included on this serious problem in our world. You can donate as little or as much as you want.

http://www.walkamerica.org/tanyabyer

That is the website they made for me. I'll be walking 4-14 in my hometown. Or if you know anybody that would want to be included let them know! Thanks so much for your time and i won't repost this again lol. Just thought some of you thought maybe it was a scam or something.

Thanks again.

I have walking pneumonia

I was diagnosed Thurs. and have laid around till today and I feel better with the z-pak the doctor gave me.  I am on day 4 with meds.  I got up and did small things yesterday and today but I am so used to be up and doing so much more.   I like to run 2 miles with my dog daily and go to the local Y to lift weights 3 x a week.  I am no string bean by any means I just wish I would feel more awake and alert.  Has anyone ever went through this crud?  I am 36 and am wondering when I will feel back to my active self again.  I just got up from an hour nap and still feel sleepy.  I heard it takes some up to 10 weeks.  My mom told me it stays in my system for 5 YEARS.  Gosh, she was no help.  Just let me know if anyone of you have any advice please and thank you!

Tips on walking my dog

This is my dog Kane, doesn't he look sweet?

He is not sweet on our walks, he is a big butt nugget, he pulls and wants to walk as fast as he can.

I try and wait for him to calm down before we leave for the walk but as soon as I touch the door knob he gets excited.

I am just using the leash as a collar and leash, I wrap it around his neck so I can pull it when he acts up, which is the enitre walk!

Any ideas on how to stop the pulling and make him focus and mind?

Glad I could help!! Walking is the ticket..sm

and it doesn't have to be FAST walking - just consistent walking everyday and everyday doing a tad more in distance.....

I also wrote down what I ate during those 6 weeks and tried to keep everything under 1000 calories per day....but I forgot to protect my teeth/gums...and bottom gums receded (early)...take minerals/vitamins if you do this!!!

Good luck hon...*S*  It can be done!

I'm walking in your shoes, but I walked further
There is only so much you can do. If she is a danger to herself or others, you can get an involuntary committment from a court to have her placed in a psych ward. It depends on your state how many witnesses you need and how far gone she is.

My dd stays with her dad (my ex) and I have had to cut off all ties. She finally got into a methadone program and got a job (which she quit when she got a garnishment on her paycheck for past-due child support) and is going to the local county health department where she was placed on a mood stabilizer. Every time I have talked with her over the past year, it seems she is worse than the time before. I don't think she is on the right meds. I have had to cut off all contact with her because I am raising her child and I just do not have the energy to be everything to everyone.

Like your child, my dd was depressed - I even saw it starting at about the age of 9 months. She was cycling in manic/hypomanic moods by the time she was 7 years old, only back then we didn't know what it was. We just thought she was high strung and spoiled. When she was 11, a close friend of hers from school committed suicide and she began self-mutilation. At the age of 14, she got kicked out of several psychologists offices because she lied and manipulated them. She lived on the streets in New Orleans at the age of 15 and it took us a year to find her. She finally came home with her boyfriend so she could get off the street and promptly got pregnant. She was "okay" while she was pregnant, but after the baby was born and the guy left, she got into drugs. OxyContin is her drug of choice. She chose that life including stealing her dad's credit cards and lots of other things I would be ashamed to post in public. She chose that over her child. I am now raising that child and I don't see things getting better even with all the "help" she is getting.

I'm sorry you are going through this, but one thing I do know is this: If you keep giving her money, a place to stay, food to eat, clothes to wear, she will NOT have any personal motivation to get better. She can sell the food and clothes for drugs. She can use the money for drugs. She will use you until you are all used up, and then what good will you be when she finds she really needs you for something important, like making different choices for her life? I wish you all the best. I know how heartbreaking this is for you. Funny thing is, I get okay with not having a relationship with her until I talk to her, then I fall apart for a few days and have to disconnect again to keep going ahead with my own life. So for me, I have to allow her to make her own choices even if it means that one day soon I could be attending her funeral.
Mine will just kind of keep walking as I am talking (sm)
he will just walk out of the room as if he expects me to get up and follow him and keep talking if I expect him to hear me. He is "in charge" of many projects in his profession. He has a lot of people who work under him and brings the same attitude home. I hate it too. Many times I have said to him, "Look, I don't work for you, buddy, I'm your wife." But he continues to do it. We get in big arguments about it. As far as the sex issue between you two - you don't go into great detail but I would say you are going to have to really have a major conversation about that and tell him that you no longer like playing that role. It sounds like he just expects to rule over you both in bed and out of bed. You are going to have to change all that - but let me tell you it is going to be a big transitioning process! I am still not content with my life as it is, but I have made a lot of headway. But when I decided to stop being a doormat, I offended my inlaws as well as my husband. When people get really used to someone being very submissive then as soon as you start to assert yourself, they are taken aback. They become offended and feel like they have to fight for their dominant role again. This is disgusting but it's almost like a pack of dogs fighting for who is going to be the Alpha. I have to constantly remind my husband that no one has to be the "boss" and that we are not each other's competition. I am still stuck to a degree though, and like you, I think it all stemmed from letting it start out this way. I think talking to your minister is a good first step, but you, yourself are going to have to be more assertive and what you did - turning around like that - was a great first step. Yes, it made him angry. And there will probably be a lot more arguments on the way. The other lady who posted about how great her marriage is blah, blah, she just likes to brag about her situation all the time. I am happy for her, but her life is not like ours is right now. She has no idea what we are talking about. We all know there are good men out there and if we had one, we would gladly be constantly affectionate and have sex with him all the time - we all want that. So I just want to say one big "good for you" to her and hope she reads this. One day when she's in a nursing home maybe I'll have a great second husband and I'll e-mail her about all the great sex I'm having.
Walking 'round in Women's Underwear lol
Not really my favorite but the funniest...lol
These dogs appear to be puppy mill producing dogs.
The two females, which I thought were older, appear to be just worn out/depleted. Their teeth are those of a 3-5 year old dog. So, I do believe they have had litters each cycle and are suffering from malnourishment.

Funny thing, yesterday, they were covered with mud (it rained and they were digging) and this morning, I look out and see they have all been grooming as they are clean.

Called Love of Animals who has committed to spaying/neutering the animals, giving them their shots, flea repellant and showing them at Pets Mart on Sundays. In a few months, there will be a regional dog show at the local college where on average 150 dogs are adopted out and she asked that I keep them until then.
Which I will...And a girl saw the ad for the Lost Pets and is looking for a replacement for her Shi Tzu she lost a year ago and will come by tomorrow morning.
Have you tried the In-home walking DVDs by Leslie Sansone?

How about Leslie Sansone's walking off the weight videos? nm

Going to Ruth Chris in Coral Gables and probably walking around

Yes, sure you are correct, I didn't catch the 'An walking'..nm
'An walking'.

I regard myself as an 'grammarian.'

My mistakes are almost always just typos.

Electrical current through foot, the other hangs in walking midway through a step, anyone else?

have this problem? I have been to numerous physicians, have been told neuropathy. I am walking so gingerly this morning around the home because know if I step flat on 1 foot (left) it will have the electrical current as happened earlier this morning. Always when walking, never with lying, sitting, etc. You never know when it will happen. The other foot (pedal foot, right) will hang in mid air sometimes when I am taking a step which makes me hop so I will not fall. Gosh, I would love to look forward to my vacation this summer but sometimes the feet ok and then other times not so good. I know the electrical current is probably nerve related but have been told so many nerves in the foot would be like looking for needle in haystack to trace down. I mostly only wear bergies and put them on as soon as I get out of bed. This is not good!!

I have my dogs on it, and yes all my past dogs but 2 have died -sm
from cancer. But I had 2 schipperkes on Frontline for years and one died at 13 from cancer, the other at 16 just from old age/kidney failure. My last husky was 8 when she died from cancer, but I have had one die at 2 (unknown causes), and another at 9.5 from liver cancer (she actually made a nice recovery but succumbed about 6 months later), but huskies don't tend to live past 10 unfortunately. I have had purebreeds and mutts, and with or w/o Frontline/Advantage they have all died from cancer. I suppose it is possible that it causes it, but if you live long enough, cancer will most likely be your cause of death, anything and everything causes cancer anymore. I hate fleas and ticks and we have lots of them, so the dogs get the Frontline except in the cold winter months. They are 6 and 3 and both doing quite well.
And dogs don't bite right? Love my dogs but I
nm
my dogs are basically indoor dogs sm
but have a doggie door to go in and out as they please. Sometimes our Jack Russell gets excited and barks inside the house. My DH grabs is belt and snaps it and the loud noise shuts her up right away. I am not trying to frighten our dog, but many times just saying knock it off doesn't work.
I went there for a week but never could get - sm
in the water as it was red flagged the whole time I was there. Stayed at the Oasis, very nice. Only went down to the beach once, ended up stepping on a bee, must have been one heck of a bee as it made me sick (or a reaction)--never had that happen before, luckily only for the rest of the day (2pm on), was fine the next day except for a sore foot. --I recommend Grand Cayman, great beaches, great snorkeling or scuba (the reefs there are amazing), the turtle farm is neat. Can be pricey but not too bad. I've been there about 5 x, plan on going again one of these days.
Since it has only been a week since
they were nursing, this is probably not abnormal, but it can't hurt to talk to the vet anyway. I also agree with below posters, definitely get this girl spayed. I raise show cats and this is most definitely the time of year the girls cycle the most, it is kitten season. Good luck.
The week from you know where

Not sure where to start here -- but I'll try to make this short and sweet.  In a roommate situation till I can get some bills paid.  Roomie sitch is a male and female couple and myself and I have a " significant other" who has lived with a male roomie for 12 years.  Nothing FUNNY is going on with the roommate situation and for me, here in the Miami area, just working and "digging out of the hole" so to speak. I rent a room am able to use the house where I live.

Thursday, I ended up getting a new cell phone after BATTLING with S carrier for a month.  It was a Motorola Q and while I know computers  -- this thing baffled me  -- Monday morning and it might be a return  -GRR.

Sorry, OLD lady here and I digress  -- anyway, with all the S***on Monday after being gone from my place for 3 weeks, the FEMALE roomie has done nothing but get on my case -- when I returned, unpacked, worked, and went to Long John Silvers.  The rest of the week, I had frozen shrimp and used a SMALL portion of her pasta. What I did not eat was put in a plastic container  and sealed in the fridge.Basically griping the whole week  -- NOTE -- she does not work and her BF supports

Thursday, was on the phone with Sprint, got new phone, went to Wal-Mart and got my haircut (after about a month and a half) and back to the house.  I then tried to get "new phone" working right and on with techs to very little avail, so gave it up and went to bed.  SO called me Friday morning and I loaded my car to make the trip to Miami  -- Friday afternoon, I get a call from the "female roomie" about the "mess I had left  -- 1 plate in the sink from pasta she had made and OFFERED, the restt of the shrimp was in the fridge, and when I cook, I clean afterwards.  The only thing in the sink was a plate, fork and coffee cup  -- I get a call Friday and she was BALLISTIC --telling me that she wasnt my maid etc -- HELLO?

Saturday, I was busy cause the new phone didnt work right and my son and his GF flew down here to go on a cruise so not online at all  -- I sign in late tonight and she had sent threats via my Yahoo account -- I really, HONESTLY think that because her "boyfriend controls her"  Here again too, she has no DL  -- NO car and if she dosent answer her phone, he would call my cell, but that changed when I changed my #  --

I'm rambling but...is this a thing where I call the "authorities" ?  I have done enough psych transcription -- BUT to get her to a hospital Im not sure what to do.

I am sooooooooo sorry that this was long but 3:45 here and I am REALLY scared of going back there tomorrow

Thanks

I saw a guy last week
who had been a teacher for a school, band and choir I think, who got the 3-X out for being "boring" or something to that effect.  Not sure if he is the same guy you are looking for.
During the week, they can SM

Go to after school activities (including sports), work (very limited hours) and church.  They are allowed on Friday and Saturday (I have two teens by the way) to make any plans that they want within reason of course.  Sunday is for church and family dinner unless other arrangements are made WAY in advance.  I have two younger ones too and they will have to abide by the same.

Good luck!

We usually eat out once a week. On the
nights I don't feel like cooking, I have frozen dinners in the freezer, soups, make grilled cheese, and I always have leftovers from the nights I do cook.

My kids love pizza, so our "eat out night" is usually Pizza Hut or Papa Murphy's takeout.
About once a week sm
She is a small poodle, less than 2 years old. She runs outside every chance she gets and gets under the deck. She also sleeps on my bed every night and I will not sleep with something that smells bad. If I enjoyed that sort of thing, I would still be married.

She has very fine, wavy poodle hair. She is oily and if she doesn't have a bath at least every 10 days, she freezes in the winter, even in her cute little sweaters. I give her a bath, let her dry in front of the faux fireplace, and brush her a bit. Next day, she is perfectly warm in her little sweaters and warmer at night too. If she goes very long, she develops so much eye snot that she can't see well. I do my own grooming and I keep her properly trimmed about every other week.

End result is: Gorgeous little apricot poodle who looks adorable and smells like flowers. No dry skin, no flaking, almost never scratches at all unless she has had to go a whole 2 weeks without a bath. This is not too frequently for this dog.
We are at 1-2 x a week, usually just on - sm
the weekends though, and usually quickies as the kids are always here......I am so tired at night that anything more than a quickie is rare and maybe once a month.--My DH is the one who initiates as my sex drive went in the toilet 10 years ago with my first pregnancy and just never came back. I still enjoy it just lost the "urge" for it I guess.
I think this week for sure it's going
to be Matt or Allison. Kris keeps hanging on because the young girls think he's hot, but I actually prefer Matt to Kris voice-wise...

I think Gokey was AWESOME last night, as usual. :)
once a week maybe.
Used to go out more but got sick of eating out. It began to taste all the same. Plus, during the summer, my husband grills out 2 to 3 times a week and it's GREAT!
also once a week....nm
nm
WHAT A WEEK!!!!
We lost Michael, Farrah, and Ed McMahon!!! I don't follow "celebrities" all that much, but wow! I can't believe 3 in one week.
Same thing I think every week...he needs to go!
If you haven't watched tonight's AI yet, I don't want to spoil anything so don't read this if you don't want to hear anything. All I can say is...what was up with that crying little girl??? But then again, she cried when Melinda sang too so maybe she does have some taste after all!
Did not see the preview from last week.
Well that is good news to see him up and about. Hopefully that will happen today, maybe.

Yes, so sad when Nick and Sharon were screaming and then Nick trying to get back in. May be Nick and Sharon will reunite because of this. I like them together.

I am watching while I am working too. Really hard to get anything done.
In another preview from last week
we saw him sitting up. Hopefully that is a good sign. Didn't your heart just break when you saw Nick trying to run back in the building? OOOOOHHHH, I get too involved. LOL
I have for a week and a half now
I started it a week ago Sunday.. that would be the 17th. I have had absolutely no "treatment effects" as they call them. I have watched what I eat and have switched to some lower fat or no fat products, as far as like cheese, salad dressings, sour cream, things like that. I don't really eat a lot of fatty meat anyway, so that hasn't been anything to deal with. The changes have been pretty simple actually, pretty easy to make. Also with Alli, it only works around the meal that you take it with. So, if you basically want to watch your fat for most lunches and dinners, as I'm doing, you just take it for those two meals. I don't worry about it with breakfast because I usually just have cereal anyway. If you have some occasion planned, dinner out, might be having a meal with more than 15 g or so of fat, just don't take it. It is pretty simple really and if it does nothing else, it keep you honest with those meals you eat when you take it.
uh, your ankle was like that for a week before you went in
"needless to say I am still in pain"....maybe you should not have walked on it for a week without getting medical treatment for it; that is not the hospital's fault....do you see the irony of your statement?
Yep, for over a week now, in Missouri
nm
I go to the gym 5 days a week
and I own my own treadmill, stationary bike, and some weights. I have always had a thin build and always played sports as a kid and as a teenager, and have always been very active (I'm 26 now). I guess that's how I do it. I'd go insane if I didn't work out.
I use AVG and also run spybot once a week. (nm)

She was in hospital almost a week before she had him...
Sorry I didn't mention that he took off a week before she had the baby. But yeah he has went back to work according to her mom. I think she is embarrassed about his feet but I have told her that she need not be he is a sweet adorable baby. How could someone make fun of a baby? When I do ask to speak to her her mom will say she is busy or something. I say well the baby must be really keeping her busy and her mom says no actually he sleeps most of the time. The baby was checked by the doctor and he said completely healthy baby other than the clubbed feet. I thought about dropping by but her mom had said that she just wished people would not come over. And one of my other friends "dropped" in and her mom called me and was kind of acting like they thought that was rude to come unannounced. So I don't know how to go about it. I did call during the time she has been home but her mom said her husband was off so I know she wouldn't talk. She is very strict about no phone calls when they are together. It is weird to me but she is a very good friend. But I would still call and ask her mom how her and the baby were anyway and some days her mom would call me just to chat. I don't know I kind of feel like I have lost my friend. I will have to send a card.
Sounds like us, we were in the 70s last week and
now have 3 inches of snow.
coming up soon, next week I think...

Mine was doing that just last week!

I was gonna toss it, because it's just this little mouse that looks like a ladybug (queer, I know, but I'm like that!).  My husband is a gadget freak and took it apart, which consisted of removing 1 screw to separate the "shell."  Inside it was a TON of lint that was messing up the wheel.  He just blew it out and it was good to go.  Might want to give that a shot before ya chuck it.  This mouse is an optic mouse though, no ball on the bottom.  On the old ones, you can remove the ball and clean it as well if that's the case.

I just saw those at Walgreens this week nm

Yes, I posted in regards to this last week. sm
My post, however, got deleted. I did receive an email from administration saying it was fixed and it did appear fixed for a day or two, but is now back again. VERY FRUSTRATING!@
I bought a new car a week ago...
If anyone cares. A brand new Kia Spectra. I got a great deal on it. They gave me a $2000 rebate so that meant no down payment. And they took off an additional $500 for applying for it on the internet. I love the car and it gets around 35 mpg. So that is my good news!
1K a week? wow, no wonder you remember with such sm
nostalgia! I started MT in 1984 at 4.25/hr; minimum wage. I NEVER heard of anyone making those kind of bucks!
Once I remember I had a two-week SM
check of almost $1,800.00 which included a good bonus. I was pretty fast in those days and had a lot of normals I used to pull up. I did not work full time, but about 5-6 hours a day, sometimes a litte more, I used to work some hours on Saturday mornings if my account was behind.
I'm on vacation this week, so ...

brought some movies along to catch up on.  I watched 27 Dresses, which was just okay.  I loved PS I Love You.  Also been watching The Office with my sister and DS, and Emergency!, which aren't exactly movies, but lots of fun.  It's been a great week with my family.  Almost hate going back to work on Monday!

Thanks for sharing that, I'm seeing it this week with sm
my mom, sisters, and sister-in-law.  I can't wait!!');>
My daughter gets $10 a week
She watches her younger sister while I work, and she loads and reloads the dishes and is supposed to keep her room clean. On Saturdays she'll help me by doing various cleaning chores.
