Leslie Sansone...
Walk Away the Pounds.  She has a bunch of them, some with light weights. (Her chatter gets a little annoying.)  I also like some of The Firm.
Booted: Leslie, Aliana, A.J., and Nick nm

I have the all the Soprano DVDs and Sex and the City collection...
I jump on my elliptical every day and trade off episodes. Makes my workout fly!
Once they get their pizza and the DVDs going, they'll yak all night & have a blast w/o any games

Me? I'm a walking commercial for them! LOL.
Am still amazed at how well they clean!  Also have a microfiber mop. I used to get on my hands and knees and scrub my floors, but after I found this mop, that's all I use!  I have so many of these cloths around my house because I just don't want to be without them!  Have given them to my DILs and my friends, and they love them too.  I can just go on and on about them.  I know it's crazy, but after all the years of scrubbing and hands that get cracked and dried from chemicals, I just can't say enough about them.
I'm walking for babies!

Hello everybody!

I posted this before but i wanted to repost and explain some things. First of all, i never ever receive any of the money when you donate it goes straight to the Walk America people. I just thought this was for a really good cause and thought maybe some of you would want to be included on this serious problem in our world. You can donate as little or as much as you want.

http://www.walkamerica.org/tanyabyer

That is the website they made for me. I'll be walking 4-14 in my hometown. Or if you know anybody that would want to be included let them know! Thanks so much for your time and i won't repost this again lol. Just thought some of you thought maybe it was a scam or something.

Thanks again.

I have walking pneumonia

I was diagnosed Thurs. and have laid around till today and I feel better with the z-pak the doctor gave me.  I am on day 4 with meds.  I got up and did small things yesterday and today but I am so used to be up and doing so much more.   I like to run 2 miles with my dog daily and go to the local Y to lift weights 3 x a week.  I am no string bean by any means I just wish I would feel more awake and alert.  Has anyone ever went through this crud?  I am 36 and am wondering when I will feel back to my active self again.  I just got up from an hour nap and still feel sleepy.  I heard it takes some up to 10 weeks.  My mom told me it stays in my system for 5 YEARS.  Gosh, she was no help.  Just let me know if anyone of you have any advice please and thank you!

Tips on walking my dog

This is my dog Kane, doesn't he look sweet?

He is not sweet on our walks, he is a big butt nugget, he pulls and wants to walk as fast as he can.

I try and wait for him to calm down before we leave for the walk but as soon as I touch the door knob he gets excited.

I am just using the leash as a collar and leash, I wrap it around his neck so I can pull it when he acts up, which is the enitre walk!

Any ideas on how to stop the pulling and make him focus and mind?

Yes, walking my dogs about 4 x a week.
They drive me nuts any day they don't get their walk. It's almost easier to just give in and walk them, and we all feel much better. A good one is closer to 3 miles I think. I am fortunate that so many new neighborhoods have been built around me, although it does mean the dirt roads/woods are disappearing, but those were too muddy a lot, so it's a tradeoff. I've lost 5 lbs since getting the new dog, CJ. He likes a faster pace.
Glad I could help!! Walking is the ticket..sm

and it doesn't have to be FAST walking - just consistent walking everyday and everyday doing a tad more in distance.....

I also wrote down what I ate during those 6 weeks and tried to keep everything under 1000 calories per day....but I forgot to protect my teeth/gums...and bottom gums receded (early)...take minerals/vitamins if you do this!!!

Good luck hon...*S*  It can be done!

I'm walking in your shoes, but I walked further
There is only so much you can do. If she is a danger to herself or others, you can get an involuntary committment from a court to have her placed in a psych ward. It depends on your state how many witnesses you need and how far gone she is.

My dd stays with her dad (my ex) and I have had to cut off all ties. She finally got into a methadone program and got a job (which she quit when she got a garnishment on her paycheck for past-due child support) and is going to the local county health department where she was placed on a mood stabilizer. Every time I have talked with her over the past year, it seems she is worse than the time before. I don't think she is on the right meds. I have had to cut off all contact with her because I am raising her child and I just do not have the energy to be everything to everyone.

Like your child, my dd was depressed - I even saw it starting at about the age of 9 months. She was cycling in manic/hypomanic moods by the time she was 7 years old, only back then we didn't know what it was. We just thought she was high strung and spoiled. When she was 11, a close friend of hers from school committed suicide and she began self-mutilation. At the age of 14, she got kicked out of several psychologists offices because she lied and manipulated them. She lived on the streets in New Orleans at the age of 15 and it took us a year to find her. She finally came home with her boyfriend so she could get off the street and promptly got pregnant. She was "okay" while she was pregnant, but after the baby was born and the guy left, she got into drugs. OxyContin is her drug of choice. She chose that life including stealing her dad's credit cards and lots of other things I would be ashamed to post in public. She chose that over her child. I am now raising that child and I don't see things getting better even with all the "help" she is getting.

I'm sorry you are going through this, but one thing I do know is this: If you keep giving her money, a place to stay, food to eat, clothes to wear, she will NOT have any personal motivation to get better. She can sell the food and clothes for drugs. She can use the money for drugs. She will use you until you are all used up, and then what good will you be when she finds she really needs you for something important, like making different choices for her life? I wish you all the best. I know how heartbreaking this is for you. Funny thing is, I get okay with not having a relationship with her until I talk to her, then I fall apart for a few days and have to disconnect again to keep going ahead with my own life. So for me, I have to allow her to make her own choices even if it means that one day soon I could be attending her funeral.
Mine will just kind of keep walking as I am talking (sm)
he will just walk out of the room as if he expects me to get up and follow him and keep talking if I expect him to hear me. He is "in charge" of many projects in his profession. He has a lot of people who work under him and brings the same attitude home. I hate it too. Many times I have said to him, "Look, I don't work for you, buddy, I'm your wife." But he continues to do it. We get in big arguments about it. As far as the sex issue between you two - you don't go into great detail but I would say you are going to have to really have a major conversation about that and tell him that you no longer like playing that role. It sounds like he just expects to rule over you both in bed and out of bed. You are going to have to change all that - but let me tell you it is going to be a big transitioning process! I am still not content with my life as it is, but I have made a lot of headway. But when I decided to stop being a doormat, I offended my inlaws as well as my husband. When people get really used to someone being very submissive then as soon as you start to assert yourself, they are taken aback. They become offended and feel like they have to fight for their dominant role again. This is disgusting but it's almost like a pack of dogs fighting for who is going to be the Alpha. I have to constantly remind my husband that no one has to be the "boss" and that we are not each other's competition. I am still stuck to a degree though, and like you, I think it all stemmed from letting it start out this way. I think talking to your minister is a good first step, but you, yourself are going to have to be more assertive and what you did - turning around like that - was a great first step. Yes, it made him angry. And there will probably be a lot more arguments on the way. The other lady who posted about how great her marriage is blah, blah, she just likes to brag about her situation all the time. I am happy for her, but her life is not like ours is right now. She has no idea what we are talking about. We all know there are good men out there and if we had one, we would gladly be constantly affectionate and have sex with him all the time - we all want that. So I just want to say one big "good for you" to her and hope she reads this. One day when she's in a nursing home maybe I'll have a great second husband and I'll e-mail her about all the great sex I'm having.
Walking 'round in Women's Underwear lol
Not really my favorite but the funniest...lol
Going to Ruth Chris in Coral Gables and probably walking around

Yes, sure you are correct, I didn't catch the 'An walking'..nm
'An walking'.

I regard myself as an 'grammarian.'

My mistakes are almost always just typos.

Electrical current through foot, the other hangs in walking midway through a step, anyone else?

have this problem? I have been to numerous physicians, have been told neuropathy. I am walking so gingerly this morning around the home because know if I step flat on 1 foot (left) it will have the electrical current as happened earlier this morning. Always when walking, never with lying, sitting, etc. You never know when it will happen. The other foot (pedal foot, right) will hang in mid air sometimes when I am taking a step which makes me hop so I will not fall. Gosh, I would love to look forward to my vacation this summer but sometimes the feet ok and then other times not so good. I know the electrical current is probably nerve related but have been told so many nerves in the foot would be like looking for needle in haystack to trace down. I mostly only wear bergies and put them on as soon as I get out of bed. This is not good!!

Anyone move from a single family home to mobile home? sm

I own and live in a house in a midwest city in a bad neighborhood (wasn't that bad 11 years ago).  I spent the day waiting for the plumber to come and jackhammer the foundation (slab house, no basement) to find a leaky pipe that is flooding my DD's bedroom. Last week, it was the electrician with quotes for costly repairs.

In the meantime, I've really been thinking about selling out and moving into a mobile home.  Has anyone done this before?  Is a mobile home in a decent park less of a hassle than a regular house?  I'm so tired of cutting the grass and spending $$ to fix things and tired of old flooring and cabinets, etc., that are just too costly to replace.  I'm single with no man to do these things for me and I can't afford a mortgage on a newer house in a good neighborhood.  Some of the pictures I've seen of the mobile homes look really nice and modern on the inside.

Any advice and comments appreciated.  Thanks!

Well I figure I can make my own hours & be home when the kids are home (sm)
I worked PT in an office for a while but spent most of my money on childcare in the summer. Full-time in an office was just a nightmare and I felt like I missed a whole year of my children's lives. I want to be in control of my schedule so that's why I'm looking into the cleaning thing. Never thought I would want to do that but live and learn! Some of the most intelligent people alive work as carpenters and similar things because they have learned what's really important in life. Whew....off my soapbox now :-) Good luck to you!
Daniel had a home, a very good home...
with someone in my family at one point.

She met her late husband at a club down the freeway from me. It's not a fancy place, like you say.

She does have a real brother though. That was the connection on our part.

I agree, though. It is sad that all this is coming out the way it is. I believe she was a good person...she just had a lot of problems, mainly drugs. What is really sad is that all of this is going to be seen by her daughter one day when she grows up.
Home Alone 1, A Christmas Story, Home for the Holidays, Chevy Chase's Christmas, sm
There "The Gift of the Magi," He sells his gold watch to buy her a comb for her hair and she sells her beautiful long hair to buy him a chain for his gold watch. It used to be on "Short Stories by O'Henry" but that's long gone, long ago. Good moral to the story. I can't stand "It's a Wonderful Life" -- too depressing, especially with banks closing, too intimidating right now!!!
Home sweet home.

What happens at home stays at home. (nm)
:op

She is home, by that I mean she is 1 mile from her home.
I am the one that moved away.  My brother lives there, but she requires 24-hour nursing care right now, and he is unable to provide that for her.  My son is graduating high school this year and I plan to move back to take care of her, but I just can't until then.  I did tell the adminstrator that they have 24 hours to figure this out, and then we will bring in the police.  I have also threatened to go to the media, and this facility has a very excellent reputation and is run by the Brethren Church, so I would think they might not want bad publicity.  It is a pretty small town and this is one of only a couple of care homes in the area.
It's Your Home
And I would keep the display just as it is. He had no right to come to your home and tell you to take it down.
Yes ~ I just got home...

They took it back with no problems and he even let me open the new one at the courtesy desk before I took it home.  Looking back now, and don't ask me why I remember or even noticed, but you know how when they pass stuff over that little round magnet thing at the checkout to disable the security sensor inside, it kind of makes a little noise, kinda like a little "boing" sound?  Well, when I did the exchange today, he passed the new ink over that circle and it made that noise and for some reason I remember the other one didn't make that noise when I bought it.  Now, I know why.

Like I said, don't ask why I would remember something like that.  My head is so full of useless stuff like that it's a wonder I can do my job!

Where is Home?
I'm not talking about where you live now, either.  I'm missing my "home" today, and I'd like to know, where is "home" to you? Do you ever miss it? Will you be heading "home" for the holidays?
All the guy can go home now
- not good with names but the black woman who sang a Whitney song and the black woman who is really shy - Either one of those 2 will me our next American Idol!  Remember where you heard it first!
Yes, now way down here. Sometimes I want to go home so bad.
But I don't want to shovel, so I guess I'll stay here!  Maybe I'll go back when if my son decides to go to the U of M.  Go Gophers!
Not really, did it hit home with you or
sound like your situation? I wrote as overall but if the shoe fits, so to say....If I have major issues, have not really found them yet so don't know where you are coming from, makes no sense to me but guess to you it does. My hubby has eyes for me and that is all that counts here.
home is everywhere and no where :)
i grew up in 1 place, but have moved many many times now...traveled with the racehorses, married a racerider and keep looking for greener pastures i guess!
19 and at home!
My 19 yo boy lives at home trying to get through college, and yes they think they own the world at that age.  But rules are you live here you follow and respect the guidelines.  Our boy broke some other rules agreed upon and now his curfew is 12 am Mond-Sund.  You can't spank the kids, but making life just a bit difficult works well.  If he decides he does not need to follow that curfew then he was told he can start supporting himself (HA!  That wouldn't last).
If you ran away from home.....

where would you go?
This is probably it for us unless we get put in a home
s
Thanks! He is home already!
He is obviously in a lot of pain. The car trip home was rough. I sat in the back with him, trying to help him. I should have thought to put a dog bed back there, but I didn't. He is lying with his tush on a dog bed and his head wedged up under my chair, breathing fast and shallow, trying not to cause himself any pain. He still has a chest tube in, and we couldn't get him to lie down with the chest tube up, so it's underneath him. It's also time for a pain pill, so I'm going to have to wake him up for that, poor baby.

If I have the nerve I'm supposed to try to get more air out through the stopcock. I can't do it if he's going to lie on that side though.
My son used to come home

drenched in cologne that he kept in his car.  Like that wasn't a give away.  Now that he's 20, he just comes in smelling like a smoker.  Yuck.  The only adult he is around who smokes is my father and when he found out that my son was smoking, he tried so hard to quit.  Now, my DD has also started smoking.  She had asthma as a child and is on the BC pill, but she knows EVERYTHING, so there's no talking to her.

WELCOME HOME!!
WELCOME HOME CEDRIC! I hope you'll be very happy with Misha and her family!

God bless !!

Is your new job another at-home job with a - sm
nationl, or did you find an inhouse job? I'm in your same situation, except that my bills are current. Still, that leaves $0 for emergencies, car repairs, and a pittance for food.

After searching high & low, it appears that it just isn't going to be possible to find an at-home job that pays more than about 9 cpl, and unless I want to spend my waking hours doing nothing but working, and STILL be in the poorhouse, I just can't afford it anymore. For some reason the few inhouse jobs that are left pay by the hour, and have far better benefits.

So, my New Year's resolution is to get out there and find a better job. It was great working from home, but I want to get back to having a life again.
Well, you must be at my home 24/7, right
I talk with her all the time- I offered the washer and dryer because I have the money to do so, just recently updated my dishwasher, offered mine for hers and my husband I went over and he installed for her. We have offered many times to assist with things around her home, this is not new- she makes less than us, my husband can fix things and he will for her, she has a new home so we are available. We give time and love- just speaking with a hospice patient long distance sorta overrides other things at that point.
Who goes home
There's some speculation that nobody will go home since it's American Idol Give Back week (isn't that what happened last year)? But if someone goes home, I think it will be Carly or Syesha. The one I really think should go is Kristy Lee Cook. I really don't believe she's in the same league as the rest.
Have you seen my car or home?
I do not believe so. I would love for you to see the ex-spouse's lifestyle though.
Home
Western Colorado. In a flash!
Don't think its home alone as much as
having something to do...atleast for my hubs. I work at home so I'm almost always here but he can't stand to stay home most days. He has to be running somewhere for something. Drives me nuts! I always have a list of things to do around the house. It is never ending.
How often is she at your home?...sm
Maybe if you could just try to hang in there for the time she is there. How is it when she is not there? Do you guys get along, does he spend time with you? It sounds like she is a spoiled brat. You have obviously done the right thing letting him know how you feel but why don't you try just ignoring them and doing your own thing when she is there and see if he likes being ignored or pushed to the side. Her banging the door and cryng when it is shut is ridiculous. He should not allow her to be so spoiled. If they wanted to go places and not include you more power to them. Less time you have to be around the little brat. Look at it like that. LOL. He should not allow her to call you "she." That is disrespectful to you. You have a name. I don't have this problem. Don't have any stepchildren. The only advice I can give is give them all the time they want. Ignore them if that is the way he wants to play it. If he says something about you ignoring them or not being socialable say oh I thought that is what you wanted since you don't include me in anything. I would just do my own thing and let him do his with the little darling.
Home Ec
We still have it at our Jr. High School, the boys and the girls both have to take a half semester of it.
Yes, this is his home too

and for me keeping the cat mainly outside that comes in occasionally is an okay compromise.  It took both are hard-earned money to buy this house and keep it up.

Like another poster said, we are overpopulated with cats.  They are getting dumped and the mama cats are having babies left and right.  I am getting mine fixed because of this.  I found a home for 2 of the babies but I need to find 2 more homes.

Not sure who is going home, but
I absolutely loved Danny last night.
