Took me awhile to read jealousy into it, but it took another woman to tell me "people are jealous," as she knew how well I did. I never boasted; in fact, I have jewelry I never wear. My DH wanted to buy me a new car and I have been saying no as I know the jealousy factor would kick in. Last car, my "friend" said, "You don't need that,isn't that kind of selfish?" This goes on and on back to the time we got our first big color TV and a friend said, "Oh, we're waiting until they perfect those things." You really have to "listen" to these comments and chuckle. Who needs it? Better off alone, me thinks. They don't know how hard we work and wouldn't have the brain to do it anyway, so why bother? Small minds. She'll call you when she wants something - they can be good at that! Relax, life is temporary. You are not alone in this.
