Sorry misread your post - as for a woman - sm
doing something like this, I am sure they could but not the norm for a woman, though I know many women shake babies, so that I do not find hard to believe. I remember getting frustrated when my kids were babies (19 months apart), going outside to just scream, did that a couple times, once I tried to break one of those toy baby doll strollers, as I was having a bad day and had to vent and I would never hurt my kids, the thing just would not break, but at least I got to vent my anger and frustration in a somewhat healthy fashion. I think in all I had 3 meltdowns, 2 screaming ones, and one the beat the crap out of the stroller (which didn't break). Any woman who says they never had those feeling is either an unemotional droid or a saint.
Sorry, I misread the post. I just read it as holiday
recipe. My apologies. Merry Christmas!
Sorry, misread your post, that is nuts though, tigers are not pets - sm
they are asking for trouble. I have a friend who has a dog that is half wolf which I think is asking for trouble (and I love wolves).
You are right, I misread.

You've misread. John Assaraf is the Secret theorist who
I'm not talking about her actual killer.

The man who teaches The Secret said that everyone wishes everything that happens to them into their life.

Larry King was skeptical and the man insisted. So, Larry King used this as an example and asked if he believed then, using his own theory, that Jessica Lunsford wished her own torture and murder into her life. John Assaraf said YES.

no more than usual
I do not feel that it is any more noisy than any other room. My hubby and I have been on 5 cruises and we prefer the room closest to elevator because it is conventient. We have never felt this to be any noisier than any other room we've had. Have fun! We're going again in Jan to Jamaica.
no more than usual...............nm

me too, tho it went better than usual
re the difficulty getting lights off and tree actually out...

I have a friend who still had a tree up in mid feb last year -- thats wayyyy too long for me!

happy new year!
Well said, as usual! The kitten was most likely - sm
the product of a feral or unwanted domestic litter, too. Unwanted kittens, if not killed by animal predators or disease, often end up being the victims of human predators. Or, they end up eaten alive as snake food, or tortured long-term as a laboratory animal. This incident was one more good reason why mandatory spay-&-neuter laws should be in place everywhere.

The usual term is
selective nerve root block.

Can you hear that?

Otherwise, just see what you get with googling

nerve block, sciatica, selective.

yup - back and CRAVING attention, as usual...n/m

Off today, but still working as I have my usual weekend -sm
work to do, goofed off the last 2 days so have to get it done today as it is due tomorrow morning! But I will b done in about 3 hours, then relax with a glass of wine and crash early as it is the first day of school for the kids and need to get up earlier than usual! It's my day off tomorrow so I will probably just lie about and relish the silence!
Going to my aunt & uncle's house as usual
My husband, my parents, and I all drive down to my aunt and uncle's house every year. We usually bring something like pumpkin and/or apple pie.
Hi, Ella! Glad to see you back, witty, as usual.....nm

dressing
To each his own. I wish I did like cornbread dressing, but I absolutely do not! My best friend wouldn't fix anything else. As far as bread goes, I toast white/wheat bread in the oven first. Add ground pork, ground beef, celery, onions, garlic, 1 bunch of fresh parsley. Very good!!
Cranberries in dressing sm
I put finely chopped fresh cranberries in my Pepperidge Farm Seasoned Bread Stuffing (here in NE). It is a dried bread with stuffing flavoring in which I added cranberries chopped in my food chopper. I also substituted either apple juice or orange juice for the water. I did at one time use Swanson chicken broth instead of water but since I gave up greasy food, I could taste the grease, so I substitute juice. I also sometimes add raisins. People love my stuffing. I bake it separately in a casserole dish for about 45 min. at 350 or until the top starts to brown a little (not too brown). I also add finely chopped celery and 1 small finely chopped onion,  1 stick of low-fat margerine or butter (the butter does not taste greasy).
hair dressing
Check your closest beauty supply store. I think you may be looking for what is called a "hair dressing." They smell good, come in light to heavy. I use one on my "babies" who have extremely curly hair. They are biracial, but do not have the coarse black African hair. Their hair is just extremely curly and the hair dressing adds shine and moisture, not oil, to their hair.
YUM, my mom's dressing balls.
made with different varieties of day-old bread, onions, celery, S&P, chicken broth and poultry seasoning, formed into balls, brushed with melted butter and baked until crispy on the outside.  DEELISH!!
country club dressing sm
Just attended a wedding at a country club. No matter where you go, everyone dresses differently. I would wear a dress or nice pants & top with some jewelry if you have any. Some of the men had suits and some had just a shirt and tie (with slacks, of course!). I wore a plain short dress with a jacket handy because the place was so air conditioned, and a nice necklace, nylons and a slight heel. Everyone was dressed differently. Just make sure your hair looks neat, your crowning glory, then the rest of you will feel just fine. I think since it is your family, you may feel better if you just look neat with a little jewelry that's in your budget. They are very fortunate that you are celebrating their milestone. Wearing a smile and taking lots of pics and giving a copy to the couple will put you high on their list. Have fun!!!
Look at this Southern Dressing with Cranberries

I just said yuck to the cranberry dressing
Don't understand why you read more into yuck! Unbelievable!
Formerly from Jersey, up there called it stuffing, down here they say dressing - HUH?

The older guys, unless cross dressing
or otherwise, would never think of burning candles just like they would not take bubble baths. I think your sexual preference is whatever you want but I do not, for me, want a metrosexual (I want facials, skin care, pedicures - you get the picture) man. As an older woman, I just like total masculine myself for a hubby, don’t want to second guess why he is using my makeup, candles, fingernail polish and the like. Any time you have to guess like the post did, there is probably more underlying than you see on the surface.
try italian dressing powder packet that you mix yourself. sm
i marinate for about 3-4 hours in this and then grill. tastes really good. you'll have to mix it with vinegar. read packet and mix as directed and then marinate in it.
Salmon with Makoto ginger dressing
This was our dinner tonight. DH made the salmon on the grill. Put it on foil with salt and pepper on low heat on the gas grill, he says. Total time on the grill was around 25 minutes (big, thick pieces), and about the last 7-10 minutes he put the dressing on with a brush. The thick part of the dressing stayed on top and the thinner part ran down onto the foil and carmelized the bottom (skin) side. We had fancy bread and sweet potatoes (microwaved with skins on) with it.

Salmon is so good for us, but the flavor is too strong for me unless it is doctored up to smooth the flavor down. This was fabulous. If you like ginger, try it.
True southern, never had dried cranberries in dressing.
Yuck!
Someone posted a recipe for baking chicken in bbq sauce and Italian dressing... SM
Does anyone have that recipe?  I am making chicken tonight and need something that I can throw together and stick in the oven while I'm working.  I haven't cooked in a couple of days and the natives are getting restless for a home cooked meal!
Hard-boiled eggs, shredded cheese, olives, dressing of choice.nm

I love tuna with the mayo on salad with hot and sweet peppers and creamy italian dressing. YUM!
Just had to share - it's delicious.
I love the dressing and I love lemon pie..sm
My mom's lemon pie that is. I also love this dessert called Texas Delight or some people call it different things but is is layers of chocolate pudding and cream cheese and whipped cream. The food is my favorite part besides the watching my son open presents on x-mas.
Well, you post with something that is going to --sm
get your *butt jumped* and then you cry when someone does. judgemental of everything, huh? don't get your halo in a twist. geez.
your post says *they*...
Is more than 1 of your children living with this person? Just curious...
Thank you for your post....sm
at least YOU seem to understand the concept of what a thyroid problem can do to a person...unlike anon poster below, who has a very closed mind about ANYthing she does not agree with.

My thyroid problem is quite bad. I HAVE seen an endocrinologist who explained that thyroid disease is an autoimmune disease, where the body attacks certain organs for no reason. I did not do well on synthetic thyroid replacement and switched to a *natural* form. I am currently taking 120 mg daily and that is a lot. The endocrinologist said that my thyroid was barely functioning at all.

I feel very bad for your brother in law, as I truly understand how he feels. Thank you again for your understanding support for my problem, rather than attacking me with being a food junky, being paranoid, needing a psychiatrist, telling me I am nuts, and to pursue bariatric surgery, which all tends to lower my already low self-esteem. thank you for your courage to post. It is nice to know that SOME people understand.
was the *duh* in yer post necessary?.....
#
better post than your first one *LOL*

I like what you said there - you have had a GOOD solid thing for 41 years now.......or thereabouts with your husband -

Doing this to him, even surreptitiously....do you think this is what HE deserves after you having a full life with him?  Do you have a conscience?  Even if you don't see this guy from 900 miles away - YOU'RE STILL CHEATING, you are carrying on a secret relationship in a secret email account behind your husband's back.........

I ain't judging.........but points upward.........towards G_d.........

jes' sayin'..............

how did this post above from 1/16/07 end up

Sorry to post again about this but (sm)

Divorce is a huge decision - I have been talking to family and friends but this is the only place I can get anonymous opinions from a lot of people, and it is more likely that someone here may have been through something similar.  My husband now is asking me to not go.  But he has already told me just a few nights ago that he was never happy with me, was always disappointed and frustrated with who I am, and that this is probably the reason he hit me a few years ago.  He went nuts a few years ago during a very minor argument (children were not present), and now says that it was probably because of years of frustration.  But now he is once again asking me to stay.  Because my parents are divorced he says that "divorce is the only thing I know" when faced with conflict.  I have been here almost 14 years and he has never been happy with me.  Even when I was young and thin and our house was spotless.  My question is - if he has never been happy with me, and I have always been a source of frustration, why should I stay now and expect things to improve?  We have been to 4 marriage counsellors in the past.  I am scared about leaving and I still do love him deep down, but why continue to stay if I will never be good enough?

I should have put LOL after my post
about the fancy car. My parents and my MIL drive "fancy" cars. I agree that wasn't a nice thing to say.
Well, here you can post what you think

Well, here you can post what you think is an awesome idea or might we say lame... (Creativity is the key)

I'll start with:

Awesome:
Water powered cars...

Lame:
Really cool stuff that is ridiculously expensive(i.e. PS3)

Please do post a pic of your pup
if you haven't already. Hayseed knows how.
Was this post really necessary?
Why bother reading a post that doesn't interest you just to post something rude and totally unnecessary? I for one love hearing about the good things in life. It's not just all work, work, work.
see my post sm
Would anyone who has used Cymbalta please reply to my post on the Mental Health board. I think this is suitable for "gab" but only one answer on that board. Thanks! BTW, I don't think exhaustion and pain from this profession is all "in our mind." I hope you agree.
Post her pic?

I saw that post too
I'm glad I wasn't the only one confused. This is a gab board and that's what we're doing gabbing about cats and other animals. If he/she isn't interested, just don't read the posts. By the way, I have an all black Halloween cat and the kids get a big kick out of him when them come to the door.
I think your post is right on
My hubs and I have separate and I trust him beyond belief, would never know what he made a year except at tax time. I think it is great to have hubs you trust and can take care of things like yours does. Seems like a dream deal to me. I could care less for doing anything when it comes to financial deals but sometimes have to fool with that. If I had a hubs that dealt with everything, I would be more than happy. You are blessed.
Just saw this post
Yes, his anal glands were really impacted- the post below this 1 helped me tremendously. Never knew felines got that way. He went to the veterinarian the very day I learned about the possibility of what it could be, the vet expressed the glands and relieved that problem. Yesterday my big boy (20 and a half lbs) went to the groomers to get him all cleaned and smelling good again. One more thing I learned- he is double furred boy and hair was even growing over his anus which had to be shaved. He is quite the handsome guy today!
