There is a country song.. sm
Alissa lies.  About child abuse.  I know this is a little different, but that song makes me so sad.  It is hard for your daughter I'm sure not to think about children that struggle with issues of this sort.
cheatin heart, older country song. nm

I think the rich are just whining
I see no slump at all in my neighborhood. No one is cutting back on anything. I think the poor have been poor for so long, the pain has trickled up to the rich at last! What a bunch of babies. They might have to eat bologna instead of sushi.
Wow, I'm feeling so sappy right now. I just tried talking to sm
hubby about this and he's completely blowing me off! so, I come on here and see this response. Thank you, KSMT. Really. I appreciate it so much. I just needed something from someone. You're right. I'm trying to work and cannot concentrate! I want to just take a bath and then go to bed before reading a great book by Joyce Meyer called, "The Power of Simple Prayer." I got it before I went on the trip and forgot to take it with me!

 Thanks again!!!!

 aw shucks.
 thanks.

Awww shucks Ma, didn't know that
 ya'll 'sept my apology.
Yep, there's even a song about it :)

She works hard for the moneySo hard for it, honey
She works hard for the money
So you better treat her right

I met her there in the corner standAnd wonders where she is
 And it's strange to her
Some people seem to have everything

9 am on the hour handAnd she's waiting for the bell
 And she's looking real pretty
 She's waiting for her clientele

She works hard for the moneySo hard for it, honey
She works hard for the money
So you better treat her right

Twenty-eight years have come and goneAnd she's seen a lot of tears
Of the ones who come in
They really seem to need her there

It's a sacrifice working day to dayFor little money just tips for pay
 But it's worth it all
To hear them say that they care

She works hard for the moneySo hard for it, honey
She works hard for the money
So you better treat her right

Already knows, she's seen her bad timesAlready knows, these are the good times
She'll never sell out, she never will
 Not for a dollar bill
 She works haaaaard......

Isn't there a song about that?
 Something like,

"I want to check you for nits!"

 Something like that.  :o}

you mean the song(s) where the guy (sm)
loses his wife, his girlfriend, his other girlfriend, his ex-wife, his truck, his bicycle, his tractor, his dog, his cat, his lizard, his best friend, his best friend's wife, his best friend's ex-wife, his clothes AND his guitar?!? And then he gets run over by an 18-wheeler but still manages to survive and then becomes an alcoholic?!?
We must be the same age. That song SM
is truly awful and was on the radio every 10 minutes. Now it's going through my brain!!!! NO!!!!
 song
 If you want a lover
Ill do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
Ill wear a mask for you
 If you want a partner
 Take my hand
Or if you want to strike me down in anger
 Here I stand
 Im your man

 If you want a boxer
I will step into the ring for you
And if you want a doctor
Ill examine every inch of you
 If you want a driver
 Climb inside
Or if you want to take me for a ride
 You know you can
 Im your man

 Ah, the moons too bright
 The chains too tight
The beast wont go to sleep
Ive been running through these promises to you
That I made and I could not keep
Ah but a man never got a woman back
Not by begging on his knees
Or Id crawl to you baby
And Id fall at your feet
And Id howl at your beauty
 Like a dog in heat
And Id claw at your heart
And Id tear at your sheet
 Id say please, please
 Im your man

And if youve got to sleep
 A moment on the road
 I will steer for you
And if you want to work the street alone
 Ill disappear for you
If you want a father for your child
Or only want to walk with me a while
 Across the sand
 Im your man

 If you want a lover
Ill do anything you ask me to
And if you want another kind of love
Ill wear a mask for you
 Song suggestions.
Having a party soon and need some song suggestions. The guest will be from 30 to 50 years old. Need some good dance music and slower songs to play during dinner.
 christmas song
 Happy Christmas by John Lennon
That last song definitely was not in his favor
It's always going to happen with those original songs they do. Obviously that was more of a Jordin song than a Blake song. The Clay-Ruben year, they each had their own song. Clay's was "This is the Night." I don't remember what Ruben's was. In any event, they didn't both have to do the same original song. With Blake and Jordin being so different, it would have been nice to have something more fair, more even, instead of Blake having to do something so totally not his style.
Ever have a song going on in your brain that you SM
can't get out? Well, I have Black Eye Peas "Lady Lumps"! I don't even like it, but when channel surfing, MTV2 runs it all the time.
Must be where I heard it. I LOVE that song! (nm)
 x
How sad. There was a video/song
regarding something just like this, sang by a very young boy. I can't recall it but it was so touching. Cat may have access to it. I bet she will post it..
what is the worst song ever?

This was on our local news this morning.
My first thought was "Help me Rhonda" by the Beach Boys. Seasons of the sun is right up there for me also.

 What's your 'worst song ever'?
Help me get that song out of my head! (sm)
Help! I can't get the song "Help Me Rhonda" out of my head now!! Too funny!! That may actually have to be one of the worst songs! LOL!
 worst song?
I have always hated "You light up my life". That was so popular years ago they played it constantly. To this day I want scream when I hear it.
And the song you are thinking
of was by Barbara Mandrell, and it was called "I was country when country wasn't cool". "I remember goin' to the drive in, pullin' up and turnin' down George Jones, I remember when no one was lookin', I was puttin' peanuts in my Coke."
Have you tried the alphabet song???
 x
do you know the song...'Is that all there is?'....nm
 nm
What is the song? I gotta check this out. lol
 x
 Terrible song choice
Even though Jordin sang it extremely well, I thought the song was awful. It reminded me of last year's Do You Make Me Proud. I think most of the songs that they chose for "the song" is more orientated towards women. JMO. You're right a different song for each of them would have been better or at least a song that is more upbeat.
Song not any worse than my at the funeral I went to
Cousin knew she was dying from cancer. My 90-year-old father there and unbelieve, she was always something else, started off with Ole Timey Rock and Roll and the end of the funeral was Somewhere Over the Rainbow. My father said, well I never. I had not either but her choices.
I use itunes. 99 cents per song...
I like it.  I just use my debit card, and I can make a great mixed CD for $15 to $20.  You can also download a lot of CDs for $10, which is a great deal.  I have heard some people complain about the sound quality, but I don't have any nice stereos, so I wouldn't know the difference!  Once you download itunes you can also preview each song before you buy it, which is great.  It's totally legal, and 99 cents per song isn't bad.  Itunes is the only one I've used, so there may be better ones out there, but I'm happy with it.
 Diamonds are Forever song
Thought you all might want to listen to the whole song that plays on the Diamonds are Forever ad.

Name of the artist is Landon Pigg. Name of the song is "Falling in Love in a Coffee Shop" or "Coffee Shop".

Style, voice, melody remind me of Harry Nilsson.

Song will play once page loads.

 Enjoy.

Anyone have a "favorite" breakup song?
 x
I like that song but not the way Whitney sings it either.
 Dolly's version is better.
Do you have a favorite song/video?
My favorite song is, by far, Sweetest Goodbye - so romantic and emotional! I just love watching them live. The Friday the 13th concert I'm not crazy about - the camera's too busy, and Adam just doesn't seem much into it. The ones in Philadelphia he's really energetic and engaged. The ones in Amsterdam he's sooooo young, but sooooo sexy!
 Favorite Maroon 5 Song
I first took notice of Adam in the This Love video. Very hot. I really like She Will Be Loved, and their newest video Goodnight is really good too.
What's your favorite classic Christmas song?nm
