chiggers

You should try spreading diatomaceous earth on your yard.  It is a white powder and nontoxic and environmentally safe!  It works.  I have a large flower and vegetable garden and let my two little dogs run and play in there and I don't want them getting fleas, or me getting chiggers and ticks!  You can put the powder on dogs and cats as well for flea control.  Look up on Google "diatomaceous earth" and you will finds lots of info about it.  I have a garden store nearby that sells it in large quantities.  Maybe someone near you has it and if not you can order some.
