I use the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 v1.0. It is awesome!
I have had keyboards look like this when I
finally replaced them.
One of them I just couldn't bear to part with because I couldn't find another like it. I finally started getting blisters on the pads of my fingers from the nubs of my keys and didn't have a choice but to replace it.
I have seen new bendable keyboards that
I saw this in a catalogue but I don't remember the name of the catalogue but keyboard was red and bendable and dishwasher safe...

As a 35+ year MT, I am distraught at the speed with which a new keyboard loses its letters. In mid June I bought a new MS ergonomic keyboard and today (8/26) I returned it with 9 letters completely rubbed off. Of course I am a "touch typist," but occasionally one needs to look down to re-orient oneself. Occasionally the fingers get placed on the wrong keys and your copy looks like goobledy gook, but really! Is there anyone out there who knows of a keyboard brand with engraved letters or at least decals that are affixed to the degree that they will last at least a year?

Great idea! I am definitely going to try that. In the meantime I bought a one-year warranty on all electronics from Office Max ($11) and they will replace for $20. So I suppose I could just keep buying new ones to the tune of about $31 a year, but that seems very wasteful. Going to try your suggestion first. Thanks.
