would you please tell me if you prefer gas or electric for cooking and why? Need to buy a new stove and am trying to decide which. Talk about a rough couple of months. October - had to buy new washer and dryer, January the died, February the garage door opener died, and now the stove!

No electric needed.

If they sleep together, they dont need electric heat, body heat will be enough. I would build a "cave" of strawbales, toss in some loose straw and there ya go. I wouldnt use blankies as if they get wet, they will freeze. Like lying on an ice cubes  Mostly, dogs just need to be out of.the wind.  If they dont sleep together, just build 2 caves.  Either way, should be snug so body heat will build a pocket of warmth around dog.

Neuton cordless electric
A gas-powered mower is like a small car -- needs spark plug and oil changes.

Before I bought my Neuton, I used a cordless electric Black & Decker until it finally died. Google it and you will see the website. A little expensive but maintenance free. I've had a year now and no complaints.
Put up an electric fence and fry her dogs. Then say OMG, I'm so sorry.

Have you tried the electric candle warmers?
They work really well too without the flame.
Post again when you get your electric bill and
DON'T FORGET to send your warranty in. Hopefully, it will last longer than my Eden Pure. Do a follow up, please. I'm still thinking about it.
Electric pressure cooker...
The electric pressure cooker seems nice, and I like that it has a removable pot, but it didn't look it would hold very much, and then the top of it may be hard to wash.  I've kind of gotten away from buying the very-tempting electric appliances.  They are hard to wash, and to hard to store.  I guess if I had a huge amount of cabinets, I would though.
Make sure there are electric poles
already set up in that area because it's VERY expensive to have utilities run to the middle of nowhere, at least that's how it is here. That's the biggest expense.
I have both - gas cooktop & electric oven sm
My oven is a wall oven, and I am so spoiled by it that it could be a make or break factor in whatever house we buy after this one. I love the fact that the stovetop is gas with the ability to cool down a pan immediately when cooking without having to move it. I had never had a gas stovetop before this and it did take a little getting used to, but I love it now and would never go back to electric without a fight.
I have the Oral B electric toothbrush and love it.
I can't remember what model it is, but it has the little round toothbrush heads. It was recommended by my dentist (a family member), and we've been using it for years. My teeth definitely feel cleaner, rarely does anyone get cavities around here, and there is far less plaque, so easier cleaning. We all go to the dentist every six months, too. It helps to have a dentist in the family!
Do you live in Texas? Our electric bill
for our tiny 2 bedroom house, trying to keep from running the air conditioner too much, using spiral bulbs, turning everything off as much as possible & being careful, is still about $250-$300 in the summer months. I don't know why some states have cheap electricity and some are so high! It's crazy.
Heat Surge electric fire place

I posted a few weeks ago about an article I saw for a Heat Surge electric fireplace with a wooden mantle built by the Amish.

Well I received it about 1.5 wks ago and I must say that it is absolutely beautiful!  It is virtually noiseless, I seriously cannot hear it running at all.  The brightness of the flame is adjustable and it has a low and a high heat setting.  Best of all, it works!  It does exactly what I had planned on and keeps the back of my house at a reasonable tempurature during the night so I do not have to worry about keeping the wood stove in the front going full blast all night.

The kids turned it on one evening when they were playing pool and they actually ended up turning it off because it got to warm.

So in my opinion, if you want something that is beautiful, well built, safe, and does provide more than enough heat for a room or two (mine is between the family room/kitchen which is all one long room) then it is absolutely worth the money.

I love my electric ceramic/glass cook top, but
you have to clean the darn thing and keep it clean!!! Its not as hard as taking the electric coils out of the old one and cleaning it. You can turn it off for the last 5-10 minutes of your cooking and it will still be hot just as hot and cut electricity that way!!! DO A LOT OF COOKING IN A SLOW COOKER.... you can even bake in a slow cooker. it costs 2 cents an hour!!!! The oven can cost up to $5 depending on what kind you have!!!
General Electric Cooper - our orange cat with stripes that looked like (sm)
electricity.  I think?  What were we thinking of?  I always had a vivid imagination and parents were on drugs in the 70s so they probably thought that was hilarious.
Poll. The Nebraska high court decided that the electric chair is inhumane. What do you think? nm
I think it should be legal and used in certain circumstances. I mean, if DNA proves that the person committed the crime, confesses to it, is caught on tape - why can't the electric chair be used on them? What about the inhumanity that the "convict" used on his victims?
