how sad...

That statement, "women are the men of the house" now? I can find absolutely no reason for a woman to get married anymore. Women are working, taking care of the house, taking care of the bills, doing everything" is really sad and it is one really sexist remark, isn't it. But marriage is not about who does what, who works or who pays the bills. I married because I loved the man, i wanted to share my life with it. Does he make me crazy sometimes? Yes, of course. Do I do the same to him? Yes, of course. Does that negate the marriage, heck no. Hey, my kids drove me crazy too, and I'm sure they felt the same about me, but I never stopped loving them and never want to be without them. Marriage is about having a partner to go through life with. We have been together through some wonderful times and have seen one another through some horrific times. We have shared all the joys, all the sorrows, all the responsibilities and all of the perks. We have both worked, not worked, paid bills, cleaned, cooked, done laundry, cut grass, gone on field trips and taken screaming kids to doctors' office. That is what marriage is about. If you have forgotten about sharing life with someone you love, I think that is sad.
