i tried to let it go, too,

I started going gray at 19.  My dad was snow white by 30.  Now, being 44, I look at my brother who is 4 years older than me and I just love his white hair.  So, I tried it.  Having had dish-water blond hair, I started dying it red 20-some years ago, which always suit my personality. 

When I let it go, I just looked old, so I have now found a compromise.  I leave the entire patch above my right ear white and dye the rest my beautiful red.  Looks pretty cool having this one snow white patch mixed in with the red.  I feel like I've earned the white, but not ready to totally commit.
