It all depends on the dose and how often given. An occasional
aspirin will not kill a dog, but even a small dose given on a regular basis will kill a dog.
I do occasional exercise & treat myself to good chocolate. I'm not completely agoraphobic,

Northeast Atlanta is around 1.79, but
my husband saw it for 1.69 at one store yesterday.

here in northeast Ohio we are bracing for some
snow - they say 6 to 8 inches tomorrow and another 4 to 6 inches tomorrow night, along with a high wind warning, so it will drift :( But then it warms up by the weekend so won't last too long.
Don't know where you live, but today in the northeast it is SM
just gorgeous today. My heart goes out to those who have been affected by the severe storms in other parts of the country.
Snow?! What snow? LOL I live in south...sm
Mississippi. We rarely have snow so I can't relate, but I think the snow is beautiful though. I tell ya, a couple of years ago my husband and I went to upstate New York during March or April, not sure now which. I froze to death. I seen enough snow to get my fill. It was a bitter cold too. I am not used to that. A cold front had come through so I don't know if it normally snows there that late in the year or not.
Any ICs with Northeast Health going to meet and greet today?
I'm going to the 10:30 session.  ERMT, you do Samaritan, don't you?  It'll be nice to have faces to put to names!
I live on the Carquinez Strait... at the very northeast corner - sm
of San Francisco Bay. The Strait is where the Sacramento River meets up with the northeast bay (San Pablo Bay).

There is a big oil refinery up-river in Martinez, and every day these huge oil tankers (like the one in the photo) go by. My side of the Strait is the deeper side, so the big ships are practically in our front yard! There are also tug-boats (my favorites), pleasure craft of all types, barges, kayaks, and sailboats.

The other night while I was working at about 1:00 AM, I heard sea-lions barking! Couldn't believe it... I was surprised they came this far in from the ocean. Though on occasion, one has gotten lost and been found in the Central Valley near Stockton or Sacramento. And before I lived here, a humpback whale (which people named 'Humphrey') got lost and swam partway to Sacramento.

It's nice living right near the water, because it stays nice all summer, & you don't need air-conditioning. (Yet you don't have to use your heater all summer, like in San Francisco, either!)
It's cool in the northeast, so some crusty home-made mac & cheese

AA degrees
AA, BA are worthless today unless they are in a specialized field. Technical certificates are the way to go now. Companies are looking for skills not paper that says you took 2 or 4 years of college. I make more money than any of my friends who have AA or BA degrees..
It's 23 degrees here
and we're having our first major blizzard. Just got home driving in it. No fun. Did I mention I hate snow?! Inside it's a nice toasty 68. Just watching The Ghost Whisperer and ready for a very early night.
It is 11 degrees here in

Yes, when it's 90 degrees out, I care about AC. You
xx
100 degrees in PA and my air conditioner is SM
not working!  I am sitting here trying to type with water running. Just called Time and Temperature which said 102.  Never was a summer  person and this is not helping. Hope you are all cool!
425 degrees/15 min - toothpick comes clean

Just outside of KC,Mo. with a lovely 8 degrees this morning. nm

It's so hot outside you could fry an egg on the sidewalk, 96 degrees, humid, and hot, hot, hot!!!

Hasn't rained in the past 3 days, frogs were singing some' fierce last night, so I know storms will be here at some point today!

It was over 90 degrees at 9:30 am in South Florida.
xx
350 degrees - 25 minutes per pound SM
Put a rack in the bottom of the pan so the meat is not touching the liquid.  Put about a cup or so of water in the bottom of the pain with some cut up onions and a little salt and pepper.  Place the roast on the rack, fat side up.  No need to cover the roast if you want a good crusty layer of fat on the meat.  This also keeps the meat moist.
I have a balmy 17 degrees at noon in PA
It's snowing...again.  The kids missed another day of school.  One of the only drawbacks of working at home.  Can't call the boss and say I'm snowed in!  But, yes, definitely looking forward to spring.  I was ready for spring the day after Christmas!
7 degrees this morning on my way to school!

Our kids were dismissed early last Thursday because of afternoon snow showers (better to be safe than sorry).  They also decided before sending them home on Thursday to close on Friday due to expected cold temperatures.  Temps were the same as today, yet we go to school today.  I don't get it.  We were off Monday for an in-service day, but they always schedule that on King day.  So why be off Friday but not today?  I'm guessing some higher-ups wanted a 4-1/2-day weekend.

Back in my day (I'm 34), we went to school unless it snowed 2 feet or we got an ice storm.  We never got off because it was "too cold".  I asked the school secretary about this, who's close to my age, and she agreed about "our day" and said she thinks it has to do with so many parents letting their kids stand at the bus stops for 1/2 hour or more because they don't want to get dressed and drive them to the bus stop and not dressing the kids properly.  She said you wouldn't believe the number of kids she sees at school dressed in shorts, etc, in the middle of winter.  We live in the Northeast, so it's not like we expect it to be warm this time of year.

I just will never understand some parents.  I drive my kids to school every day even though they're on the bus route.  The busses are just too cold in the morning and they'd have to get up 1/2 hour earlier and we already get up at 7:15 to be at school by 8.  I let them ride the bus home in the afternoon because the buses are warmed up 1/2 hour from picking up the high schoolers first and my kids are only on the bus for 15 minutes.  I also make sure my kids have hat, gloves and scarves when it's cold.  They don't always wear 'em, but they're in their backpacks if they need them.  Why don't some parents care?

Sorry -- off my soapbox.  This was just s'posed to be about the weather.   It's cold here -- BRRRRR

I only have 1 question - if you hold these degrees
what are you doing on this forum? Why are you not putting your masterful degrees to a better position that would be more than the lowly MT
Tea party, ratcheted up a few degrees. :)

I cook mine at 250 degrees for 1 hour and
then add sourkraut around it, sprinkle with brown sugar and cook at 350 for another 1-1/2 hours. Is always very tender.

Today in Michigan it's a balmy 6 degrees with -18 wind chill
With those kind of temperatures, today thermostat is on 70 and that's comfortable.  But I have on sweat pants, a sweatshirt, and warm wooly socks.  Usually it's at 68 and 62 at night.
19 degrees in west Michigan right now. -8 wind chill. BRRRR..nm

snow!!!
Hey, I'm in upstate NY too!  I am so excited.  I have been working from home for almost two years and I swear ever since then there has been no snow!!!  When I had to drive 30 minutes to work we got dumped on all the time!!
snow
I live right outside Albany and we have only had an inch or so here and there.  Looking forward to staying home!
Snow
We have snow here in PA too. Started this morning and hasn't stopped.

They say it will snow until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Schools closed early and some have called off for tomorrow already.
Snow
Mt. Mitchell State Park, just a little NE of Asheville, North Carolina, off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Had snow to my hip first week of May. May start falling early. Call to check.
Snow - still - nm

Snow
I live near Scranton, PA.  We have about 4 inches and school is canceled.
Snow, Oh, NO!
Nothing here yet in Upstate NY, but they are calling for 1-3 inches overnight. I'm not looking forward to this at all. My friends all laugh at me, once the snow falls, you'll never catch me outside unless it's absolutely necessary. On the upside, they're saying that for Halloween it's going to be 62. Very strange weather here.
Snow!
Hey yall! There is snow on the ground in South Texas (between Galveston & Houston).  I looked outside when starting my shift at 0200 & it is there....will probably all be gone by 10 though.....we almost never get snow here.
Snow...
You can definitely have the snow from WI.....If things continue on the way they have started we will never see green grass! I think it April before all the snow melted from last year!
snow

Wow that is a mess of snow.  I am originally from NY/NJ and I really miss the true meaning of a snow advisory.

Snow is melting....sm
Temp up to 55 today.  Hope you got in touch with your family!  Roads were good the day after.  It really wasn't as much of a storm as the media made it sound, as per usual.  Good luck!
As far as snow, it's been clear. But
as far as traffic goes in general, good luck. I live only about 45 minutes away and on a Saturday it can take hours to get in, especially bad at the tunnels, and parking is also the pits, can be very expensive, one time it cost me $40 for a few hours. Is there a train or bus you can take? Good luck and have fun!
Who has snow today? sm
Big snowstorm here in Ohio! It's been snowing nonstop since early this morning and isn't going to stop anytime soon. My husband's job even cancelled today! We probably have 4 or 5 inches already.
snow storm
It's headed our way tonight in Upstate NY.  We're suppose to get over a foot.  Tomorrow it is suppose to be snowing all day long.  It'll be one of those days when I REALLY appreciate working from home.
snow in nebraska; sun is out now tho

Some snow in Philly
It's been snowing lightly for hours, but ground is barely covered. Expecting about 5 inches tonight, though. Haven't had any real snow this winter.
well I don't have snow, but apparently from the looks of it-
not much grass.  This time of the year it is easy to tell that I have a bumper crop of wild onions and they are a lot higher than the grass that is greening up.  I have daffodils, hyacinths and crocus.  How long until you see green?
Wow! Big snow last night
Have about 16 inches of snow this morning.  Sledding anyone?
