Poor little guy.  I would definitely recommend a call and/or trip to the vet.  Please understand that I am NOT making any diagnosis, but it could be a reaction to vaccines, although the sneezing especially makes me think it could be feline upper respiratory infection--a very common ailment in shelter cats.  My cat (Joe) was treated for a couple of weeks in the shelter for it before being available for adoption.  He has been fine ever since becoming boss in my house in Feb. 


As for keeping him comfortable, I would just provide a blanket, something to snuggle against, and let him sleep.  IF it is a URI, he may have a decreased sense of smell, so you could try offering him something that smells strong.  If you give him canned food, offer the smelliest flavor you have, and then follow vet's orders tomorrow.  Good luck with Gary, and thank you for adopting a shelter kitty.
