My kids ultrasounds said that too, even in the womb kids grow differently..don't worry unless your doc says to. I had identical twins and they had different due dates according to my ultrasounds, they were born the same day and almost the same weight!!

No ultrasound
Stories like these are very reason we decided to skip ultrasound during both of my pregnancies. Overall, I was healthy, heartbeats were strong, and the baby was growing as it should, so no ultrasound for me.

But watch out for big-headed babies - I had one - it was a killer :-) He was perfectly healthy and I just tell him he needs that big head for all his brains.

Hoping everything is wonderful with your pregnancy and your little one.
ultrasound
just went for physical exam. Complained of pelvic pain. Hoped it was just from my c-section scar tissue. Doctor sent for ultrasound. During ultrasound, the radiology tech decided to switch to transvaginal. She explained that the doctor would ask her why she didn't do this if she hadn't done it. Should I be worried. My doctor is not back in her office until Tuesday. going coocoo waiting.
Ultrasound at 7 weeks?
Ack - I didn't realize docs were doing these so soon. There are so many variables in pregancies (and children) that I wouldn't be too concerned. But, after all the ultrasound horror stories that I have heard over the years, we skipped ultrasounds with both of our children. I had normal pregnancies and there was no reason to have one.

I measured completely different with both of my children through my pregnancies and with good reason, the first was 10 pounds 4 ounces, the second was 7 pounds 14 ounces.

I hope everything is fine, please let us know.
The reason they did the 2nd ultrasound was...sm
when I went for the monthly checkup yesterday they didn't hear the heartbeat on the external doppler; however, at my stage they told me before hand that they don't always hear it. They said that since I had the prior miscarriage that if I'd like they could do the ultrasound just so we could see the heartbeat and confirm all was still going well. The midwife I saw was just as surprised as my husband & I that the sonogram gave the results it did. We see the doctor this afternoon after the lab results come back from the blood work they drew yesterday. I am having some light spotting this morning. I'm trying to stay calm in case the sonogram was wrong but know that more than likely the baby did die.
thyroid ultrasound
I have a family history of thyroid cancer but also many family members with thyroid disease, so on a routine exam a few months ago the doctor immediately noticed my thyroid was significantly enlarged and sent me for an ultrasound. Of note I never did think to tell them at the time there was a family history. It showed bilateral hypoechoic solid nodules and the radiologist recommended another followup test in a few months for stability. I know nothing about radiology. Should I be worried?  Thank you.
Why not ask for an ultrasound if you have smaller breasts? I

Things not to say to people!! Ultrasound tech said (sm)
After doing my ultrasound for an ovarian cyst she says as I am getting up, "are you still having your cycles?"  Thanks. I'm 40.
Anyone out there have their baby's ultrasound and gestational estimates not match?
I'm 7-8 weeks pregnant according to the last menstrual period;  however, at the doctors office on  ultrasound today it appeared that I'm only 5-1/2 to 6 weeks.  The technician thought she saw a yolk sac.  They drew a HCG and will repeat this on Wednesday.  Anyone else have this happen and what was the outcome?  My husband & I are trying to not worry and are focusing on being positive until we find out the lab results on Thursday.
