you NEED rest. When you're not getting enough sleep, everything is more difficult, not to mention the overactive hormones, which in combo can sure make you feel crazy. I expect it will get better as the baby starts to sleep more/better for you. Hang in there. Don't be too proud to ask for help. Must not take most meds while breastfeeding, so be careful there. You definitely cannot got at the high-paced life "as usual." You're life now will be re-arranged by the needs of the child. Just try to enjoy the baby and the precious moments, as they never last long enough. For the long-range thoughts, having 2 can actually be a bit easier than one, as they can play together rather than 'need' you every minute.
