What can I say....I'm 60 now....started way back in the late 1960's and early 1970's and relatively speaking made a killing as an MT. I am STILL an MT and have watched this "career" field slowly crash and burn. I wish for you the best of luck.....I was fortunate to be able to raise my son while I worked from home back in the early 80s before all this off shore outsourcing and PAY CUTS came into play. But no more......But I'll have to continiue to do this forever as this is all I have done and who can make a career change at 60.

I have a friend who is 78 and still transcribes part time just to make ends meet....THIS is what we have to look forward to!! Get whatever you can....we absolutely DO deserve it.
