Alas. Those MP35's are extinct. SM

Lanier no longer makes them, if you mean the little button ear pieces with the thin wires. I have been looking for them for years. I think I bought the last set in captivity maybe 4 years ago.

There are no more - businesses have sent me links to headsets "just like the Lanier" but they aren't. If you use and love them, you'll know what I mean.

okay, here we go again - the board is going to get slammed, but alas - sm
I will state this - I have worked for them for four years and have had no problems. It really really really depends on the account you get. However, since you have an interview with them tomorrow, might I suggest that you tell them that you do not want to be shifted from account to account throughout the day. Tell them that you are willing to work on a couple of accounts, but it will either be done as a split (one hospital in the morning, and the other hospital in the afternoon) or one account one day and the other account the next day. That seems to be why so many people are leaving them.

A couple of the accounts they have are very picky clients, and I'm glad that a hospital is actually reading the transcription. You should see the crap that gets passed through.

Now, before I sign off on this, I do know that I will be blasted all over the board from former Diskriter employees, but as I said, I have been with them for four years. Right now, they are going through TREMENDOUS changes in staffing, and that's a good thing. So it can only get better from this point on. My checks have always been on time. I can ask questions without being penalized on line count. They give you the computer, however, they do not want you using it for PERSONAL use (which is quite understandable), but some transcriptionists seem to get offended by this.

Best of luck on your interview and hope to work with you!
Those who do not adapt will become extinct
You can obsess and wring your hands and post multiple threads (running off people who might otherwise support you), or you can change. The world is changing and it was here first.

Who says the rest of us don't love what we do and wish there were more quality MTs in the industry (and give advice as to how to BE a good MT), but to cry poor work ethics as the reason work is going offshore and ignore and reject the reality of the industry will drive you into therapy or into a different career...thereby accelerating the extinction of MT as it has been in the past.

I don't pretend to speak for the others on the board, but the first time I read your postings, I agreed. But now, I feel you have a different motivation, have become selfish, manic, obsessive and a bit off balanced. I can't hear what you are saying because you are getting in the way of the message.

Nuff said.
It is rare, but not extinct to receive a

reply regarding how you fared on your test.  For those of you who are presently going through this situation, I would suggest going back and reading the email you sent requesting the information.  Often times online, the inflections in our words are misconstrued.  You may be wasting time imaging the worst.

Second solution; just forward a copy of your original email to them; it only takes 10 seconds.
