You hit the nail on the head, Kim.

My fear is I will be out of a job in the next 5-10 years and then I will be too old to be looking for a new career.  Anticipating the worst, I am starting to pursue other avenues now.  Even if this profession was secure, I don't know if my fingers, back and neck will hold out for another 20 years.  I cannot see myself doing this grunt work for that much longer. What a great career this has been - I work from home and was able to raise my son while working.  I am feel so fortunate to have been able to find a career that allowed me to do so.  Now that he is off at college, there is no need to stay home to work, as much as I love doing so. We are victims of technology and budget cuts and I want to make the change now, before I get replaced by VR!

Add me to the list of posters having serious job burnout.
