Career Step has an awesome online course in medical transcription. I highly recommend spending the extra $$ to get the platinum level, as you receive lots of help (up to a year after graduation) in obtaining work, and other questions that may come up. They give you lots of feed back, as you request it. Most people take around a year to do the course, although some in as little as 6 months.
Their course is highly regarded in the field.
