Best correspondence MT course

Could you please share on what you think is the best Transcriptionist course online/correspondence?
I am particularly looking to work from home in the next few months, and am wondering if this is a profession where I would be able to find work-at-home assignments once I complete the course.
How hard is it to get into the market, even an on-site position, do you all know?

EMR and correspondence
The EMR our institution went to has templates built in that will pull clinic visit info into a letter format. No Transcriptionist needed. The letters aren't pretty, but the docs like the fact they don't have to dictate anything.

that is not patient-related now and again, but not if I'm not being compensated for it. I don't know how long you have been with this practice, but I would send a letter outlining what you posted regarding both matters, and state that you feel you are deserving of a pay increase because the job entails more than you originally agreed upon. See what kind of reply you get. Ya never know! Good Luck!

The College is "accredited" by the Distance Education and Training Council, which is recognized as an accrediting agency by the US Dept of Education but NOT by many traditional colleges and universities.
Note that their high school is accredited by something called the Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools, which people often confuse with the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
If you're planning on a program that will involve either licensing or transfer to a "traditional" school, graduate work, etc., you should check with the licensing agency in your state or the school you would be transferring to in order to be sure that the Penn Foster credential or degree will be acceptable.
Agree with txmt. An MT who can't spell in casual correspondence, sm
sheds doubt on his/her ability to spell in medical documents. Why is the effort to spell correctly so difficult for some MTs? It's what this business is all about!! Your bad spelling, casual or not, is a strong reflection on you.
