That's a good place to start,and I'd try superantispyware as well. I run both and get stuff from both. Also, if you delete your temp files, old emails, cookies, etc., that will sometime help. Not sure what you've done, so I can't offer much info.

yes AdAware is good, so is that cleaner program
but just to be wary about others that offer free antivirus and then latch onto your system so you will buy it...

I thought with AdAware, it will detect but not fix for free with their
