I whole heartedly agree with you. Couldn't have explained it better myself. Just to add, I have yet to run across a VR program that can 100% accurately transcribe what the physician is dictating either. There is always going to be a need for someone to correct it. You know the physicians aren't going to "have the time or desire" to do so. And as far as hospitals going EMR and then phasing out their transcriptionists. Are you guys sure they aren't outsourcing overseas. I know the local hospital where I used to live did that. They brought their Transcriptionist back after about a year, cause the outsourced reports were coming back messed up as well.
