Deeply Saddened -- I understand.  I just found out our company is not giving us a bonus this year.  It is disappointing, because since it was done in the past, it shows how they are making their cuts.  In this case cutting staff appreciation.
grateful
I am grateful to have the work and that is why I do type them and anything else that comes my way.  I was looking for a way to increased productivity.
I think you should not "vent" but be grateful you have
freedom to have any surgery we want anytime we want!

It does feel kinda good to put a voice behind us, it is rather empowering. For years we sat back and let AAMT do our talking for us and we see where that got us. Transcriptionists are always too busy to discuss or debate things in the office we are always plugged in...this feels really good, let's keep it up...keep writing, talking, pushing. GO MT's we can do it.
Be grateful, a lot of people don't get raises-- sm
I will probably cap out where I work next year.  My husband is lucky if he gets a cost of living raise, he generally will go a 2-3 years w/o a raise then get 3% if we are lucky, 1 year he only got 1%.  Yeah it would be nice to get a better raise, but in today's economy be happy that you are getting one and that you have a job.
Excited, happy, and grateful.
:)

Be very grateful someone is giving you feedbac
You must have some talent for them to keep working with you! But be a little humble and grateful for any kind of feedback you get. Try to develop your own "suspicious" ear when you hear something you're not truly sure about. That's your responsibility to train yourself after the training. No MT learns it all in a training program. Years and years of listening and typing and researching is how you become a decent MT. And then you still will never know everything--ever. It's good you took the training, just know that it's better to get feedback from a good service than not be able to find work because you don't know what you're doing. Keep listening, researching, and typing and will eventually click. Best of luck to you.
Mine was for $21.00. Guess I shoudl be grateful, huh? nm

In college in the room next to our, they would blast Grateful Dead music all day - sm
we retaliated by blasting AC/DC. They got the point and stopped blaring their music. I'd pound on the walls and ask her to keep it down because you are trying to work, might help, it she gets louder and more obnoxious I'd call the police, disturbing the peace and all. She won't appreciate it but it would sure make a point, and if she kept it up you just keep calling the police. Good luck.
