Hey Irishmom! I think you and I both are deciding on going with sm

Webmedx as I see you had some questions - just like me. So, what have you decided? I haven't yet. Two things I don't like: Timeclock and schedule (as in it sounds like I would have to stick to a schedule strictly), which I do with MQ, and I'm not sure I want that again!

So, did you take the job? Just curious. From one MT to another. Funny you work at FN? I applied to them last week and they are the only co. that never responded. ha.

need help in deciding jobs
Hi out there.  I am looking for some insight on a decision as to what I should do.  I know of a company hiring for IC.  I would probably only have to work 4 hours a day with flexibility and I would stay at my present company part time just to see how the new one would work out.  I have to wait a whole year (or so they say) at my present company if I want to go back to full time.  I know with IC I would be responsible for my own taxes.  Do, I, myself have to pay into medicare?  I'm just wondering if it is worth an IC job part time and having to pay taxes.  I know I would love the flexibility and it would be a little lower than what I was making now at my FT job.  Thanks for listening.  I have the saying "when one door shuts another opens" running through my mind but I'm just wondering what my best options are.
OTC or Rx is not the deciding factor. sm
As the other posters said, the deciding factor on capitalization is whether it is a brand name or a generic. There are prescription meds that are capped (Nexium), and prescription meds that are not capped (esomeprazole). There are OTC meds that are capped (Tylenol) and OTC meds that are not capped (ibuprofen).
Exactly. Still there but 2 jobs lined up deciding on them. No way are they going to cut me any
further and put me through the aggravation I have been put through switching to Amherst. Many MTs have left and more planning on it and MQ does not seem to care so you have to wonder what they are up to.
thanks, i will make it THE deciding factor also.
i'm just going to hang in there. i had some email replies for reassurance also.
Help deciding CD references vs books....sm
I need to purchase new references and need opinions as I am undecided whether to eliminate books completely and go with CDs or not. There is something I really like about leafing through a book but have become more mobile lately with a laptop and carting books is a pain. Also, is a drug reference really necessary with all the drug sites on the internet? I do exclusively trauma and operative reports.
Buy a Bird Talk USA to read over before deciding

It is an annual issue that discusses all the different species of birds and their quirks and specific needs.  If you do decide on an AG, consider one older than a year or 2 old as they go through a maturity phase during that time and can change personalities or change the object of their affection.  I have a personal preference to Soloman Island Eclectus males.  Like most Indonesian parrots, they prefer not to be touched on the back of the head/neck but with love and tenderness, they can overcome this.  These birds can bond to and love several people at the same time while maintaining the primary bond to their "main human" which an AG may not allow (all birds are individual in this).

Whatever parrot you decide upon, from a parrotlet to a maccaw, treat it as it is a 3 to 4-year-old child.  That is the intelligence and emotional level they function with.  Find out when they reach sexual maturity and be prepared to deal with the sometimes violent mood swings or changes in preference with whom they bond (this is very important especially if you hand feed one).  Rotate the toys every couple of weeks.  Don't be bashful about taking it on walks in the park, to the beach.  Be careful about birds of prey if you let it play on a perch outside.  A varied diet is a must (If it's good for you, it is for them.  If it's bad for you, it's bad for them).  Consider the toxicity of your house plants.  Let them take showers with you.

Okay, I'm addicted to them.  I'll stop now
