How long has he been in a relationship with her?  It sounds like a nightmare.   Does he think he is in love with her?  Does he think they will have a future, children, live happily ever after?  I can't imagine a son letting someone treat his mother that way.  Lesbian is one thing, but her character sounds bad, bad, bad.  He better wake up quick.  Tell him to start thinking with his head instead of his  you know what.
