How unrealistic is this?

I have been an MT for only 2 years and I work as an IC.  My husband and I would like to get pregnant (actually I would like to get pregnant) in a year and of course I would love to stay at home and work still.  I have heard it's hard to do with kids at home, is it?  I work about 30 hours a week and would cut down to about 20 if I had a baby.  Am I just dreaming that I will be able to do this?

Thanks!

That is unrealistic. Did you ask them... sm...
what you are supposed to do when there is an incomplete name? Perhaps they should tell the doc they will withhold transcription unless he provides complete name, spelling, etc. (LOL)

Seriously, though, I think it's unrealistic to expect you to do anything more than a quick search for an address. If the MTSO expects you to have complete addresses, then they should furnish you with a listing of all the addresses their clients use, IMO.

I always attempt to find addresses, but tell my SCs to spend no more than 1 min. on this. As long as a valid attempt is made, that's fine with me. When they say "this goes to Dr. Smith" and that's it, well, there are often hundreds with the name Dr. Smith in a single state. Personally, I think it's worse to guess. The clients get miffed when they have returned mail due to incorrect addresses, too.

I think it's perfectly fine for you to ask your MTSO about this. Maybe they just mean when it can be found. I hope, anyway!!
unrealistic absolutes for ICs' or no pay?
I very much enjoy the work I am receiving from this company I work for. In the beginning they changed the account specifics very often, which was hard. Things settled down and I thought all was well however they now say they will withhold pay if complete addresses on all letters are not included; however, 2 out of 3 letters or cc's will be dictated w/o first name or spelling of last name and seldom a city is dictated for the addressee?  Most of the work I get are edited reports and I am not making a very high line rate as it is but now I have to guess at addresses and addressees and try to find this information to include in the report? Should I ask for more money for the time it takes to do this? Anyone in this situation?
I think you are totally unrealistic about this profession
The owners are not there to pet and pamper you. They don’t care if you make a living. They are not your parents. You are just a piece of sand on a huge beach to them, a teaspoon of water in all the oceans in the world. People do not owe you anything.
