You stated my feelings exactly.  I wish we could light each other's fires! (LOL) 


I've put in applications for other office work - I can't do this anymore.  After 28 years of MT, the last showing a steady decline in income despite putting as much or more work than usual, I've had it. 


I realized I was complaining about the same things I complained about 1-1/2 years ago and if I don't do something, I'll still be complaining about the same things next summer.


I've looked for other MT jobs, but these companies are basically all the same.  They look upon us as their enslaved work force.  They lay down a bunch of demands even for the "IC" positions - which is a laugh in this business and just means that they don't have to be bothered doing anything for you, like paying SS or deducting your taxes. 


I've reached the point where I'm willing to take less money because I know I will get paid for my time and not have to worry about being 2 or 3 weeks pay in June and August and over the holidays when the overpaid, overglorified doctors take their 4th or 5th vacation for the year.
