who are sisters. They went to nursing school in their mid to late 40s and got their RN before turning 50. They both currently work at a state mental hospital and are doing quite well for themselves. I would say there is no real "cutoff" age for becoming a nurse, but I would advise going for your RN as RNs, a lot of the time, do not have the physical demands that LVN or LPN have. RNs, at least in my cousins' cases, mostly do paperwor, plans of care, medication charts, etc., although they do have some hands-on patient care. I guess it just depends on the facility in which you go to work. I say GO FOR IT!

I don't do it, but have two cousins who do it and love it. sm
They are both not ones I would ever think would clean someone else's home, but they do it and love it.  One of them cleans for a couple who have their own business, so she cleans the office and their home.  She also has a couple of other houses she cleans.  The other cousin does strictly private homes.  I have thought about doing it also.  They make really good money.
I have four sons, two brothers, five nephews, and 10 male cousins.

When is the last time you hung around at an elementary school?  Yes, all the little boys in kindergarten and first grade race around after school trying to smack each other in the butt or the crotch.  I don't know why they do it.  I don't like it, and I don't tolerate it.  I even tell the other kids in front of their parents to knock it off.  Don't even tell me to watch my generalizations because I've seen it with my own eyes.  It doesn't make them little perverts.  It just means some parents need to teach their kids about boundaries and inappropriate touching.  My kids never, ever did it until the other kids at school did it to them first.  I do not like it one bit, and I told the parents of the other kids.
