Well now...sm

I have a friend who is 59 and she is an LVN working hospice. She is going back this year for her RN. She doesn't think she is too old, but she does think it is well past time to get this done.

I know from talking to her that she doesn't do a great deal of lifting, but she is in hospice. She works under several RNs who don't do the leg work, they supervise the treatment.

You are going to be 48 this year? I just turned 48 this year. I am not going into nursing, but I am making a career change. In five years you and I will be 53. If you become a nurse, in five years you will still be 53. Most of us MTs are fairly miserable with the state of the industry...so the question becomes, in five years you will be 53 no matter what, but how happy will you be?

I am proud of you for thinking about being constructive and making a change, not destructive and spewing here about it.
