My first one I bought from Martel Electronics, on the Internet, on a recommendation from the woman I was working for. At that time they had refurbished Panasonic transcribers for at least $50 less than brand new, but when I bought recently they only had refurbished Sony's available. The refurbished one I purchased from them lasted me about 6 years, and I do a lot of work. The motor burned out . . . LOL! I expect this one to last even longer (I hope) since most of my work is now digital.
