possibility that he does not want you to come because there is something or someone he does not want you to see. I would have gone anyway to find out what he was hiding. Make plans again when it works out for your schedule and just go, don't tell him in advance. Find out what he's hiding. He's probably counting on your being angry and deciding not to try any more. Find out why. In the meantime, protect yourself. Open a new bank account in your name only and transfer as much of the joint money there as you feel you are entitled to have. Good luck. I hope it turns out just to be his extreme caution, but I think the whole thing is really suspicious.
