| Is this how it is for most MTs?Posted By: nymt on 2008-06-02In Reply to:

I am pretty new at this, 16 months so far. I started out mostly on an ER account, with some other work for the same hospital thrown in. It was not easy, there are some really bad dictators on it, but I got used to it and got myself set up to do it fairly quickly. Now though, the company has lost most of the ER account, so I am on very little ER work and am mostly on 3 other hospital accounts doing consultations and discharge summaries for about a million different doctors in all different specialties. Just tonight I have been on orthopedics, OB/GYN, nephrology, pulmonary, cardiology, infectious disease, and psych and I don't it changing any time soon. I am trying to get on a different account that I like a lot, but it is only my secondary so I don't get to do it often. Is it too much to ask to have a set account with a set number of doctors so that I can actually make a decent line count? Is this how most MTs have to work?
